Oh, I am not defending him, but the bad shooting % was typical of the WHOLE game style, so nothing out of character, you can't just look at stats, you have to actually WATCH the game, which we did, and I know you did.

In fact, Kenny Smith (who was voted on Clutchfans poll to be the best analyst in basketball if I am not mistaken) said that he thought T-Mac had a MUCH better game than Wade, and that's why Rockets won.

Not defending, just stating the reason why I think that though he shot badly, it was similar to how almost everyone else shot, especially Wade. But still, those two threes he made towards the end were MAJOR, I think you would agree with that. MJ made a big three too, and then Wesley with huge FTs and excellent execution to seal the ordeal

Agree. Many of his shots are tough and clutch. I really respect his gut to take those shots even though some of them are not falling.

It's not my bubble. To be honest, I did not want to include KG in my post. But finally put his name considering he has the best stat currently in the league.

Barkley is just upset that we might win another championship without his fat butt.

There is only one true chucky in clutchcity and his last name is brown and he has a ring.:D

kenny smith is not a good analyst he just sits there and attempts to put a bucnh of complicated thoughts together and make out somethin that sounds so dumb nobody argues with it

I kind of agree with you. I hope I am not commiting heresy, but it seems sometimes Yao wants to bail himself out by getting in foul trouble. I don't think is intentionally done.

If the above statement is true, Yao may not have the heart of a champion necessary to win a championship.

I hope I am wrong because I am a huge Yao fan, and believe he will really shine in the coming playoffs.

It was great night for DEKE, I would credit the win to him, also the team played a very good defence.

We can only say both Tmac and Yao played good, but not compare with DEKE

    Thanks uncle DEKE!!!!

Ahh, Yao has gone head to head with Shaq for past 2 years, what made you think that he just decided to foul himself out tonight?

You are right, but what is the most important stat in the NBA? WINS:)

How much of a winner has KG been in his career so far? Not much, he was kicked out of the first round for what, 6-7 years in a row? His current team can't even make the playoffs?! THAT is unforgivable! You are a DOMINANT and GREAT player when you carry your team when they need you the most. So KG is not there, a great stat guy, sure, but not there yet.

I would definitely put AI in that "great" player group as well.

There are ONLY two dominant players in the NBA: Shaq and Duncan, it is that simple.

Great players? A few could be named: Kobe, T-Mac, AI, Nowitzki, Lebron, Artest, J. O'Neal, Garnett. The people who will join this list soon when they accumulate enough experience and continue to get better are: Amare, Wade, Carmelo (may be), Yao (strong possibility if he continues to improve), etc.

Good players (i.e. All-Star types but not quiet superstars)? Well, the league is full of those (Steve Francis, Marbury, Ray Allen, Brand, Carter, Nash, etc.)

I think that would be a more accurate categorization IMHO. Of course you might juggle some players from one group to the other based on their performances, but the point is to prove that you can do it consistently over some period of time

Two dumb fouls in a span of a couple of minutes.

On a completely different note, did anyone also spot Marcus Coleman in the audience?

Man, can we give props to Spoon? He proved he still has something left. He showed pride out there, him and Deke (bit I kinda got used to Deke stepping up every time now, he is the most dependable guy off the bench for us)

props to spoon... I know I got a little carried away a few weeks ago when I was talking about Spoon having to make at least two trips when hauling ass...

tonight it was nice to see him fighting people out of the paint. He still needs to get more rebounds, but you cannot at all diminish his effort. He was working his ass off... and indeed that's a lot of work...

Props to spoon... tonight he was the spoon, fork and the knife...

when someone did good job once, give him a praise, he's going to be even better next time, or say at least he will try harder.

    That's the way it is!

I concur. Spoon was really solid tonite after hitting two airballs in the very biginning, since then he just kept supprisning me scoring the pts, stealing the ball twice I believe, and defending shaq pretty well.

    great great win

Spoon had an EXCELLENT game! He was really giving it his all! he was tired as hell but still trying to the best of his abilities! It was fun to see all the hustle and determination by Spoon, offensively and defensively.

hitting two air balls? the only thing those two shots hit were the wind current and the hands of the rebounder. but all joking aside he did a great job today of playing off of our stars and actually giving yao a breather from guarding shaq without the team losing much. i was glad to see him not get down on himself after those shots and coming back and continuing to play with confidence. GREAT GAME SPOON (MORE LIKE SCOOP)

Now that they seem to have gotten their defensive mojo back, let's find a way to marry it off to a great offensive show, and we will be truly unstoppable!

I really think this game is a confidence builder for our players, and our shooters will hopefully get better next time with that gained confidence, for I really believe the problem is NOT that the Rockets are shooting too much from the outside, but that sometimes they hesitate to do so, and therefore they are missing when they have to take those shots. Confidence is the biggest weapon a shooter can have, so let's hope this game will get that back.

Don't look at the stats, because this game was just ugly, and everything took on that trend, and yet we won it with great defense and hussle, and DEKE!
