I was just looking the scores online and I just noticed (at the time) that Kobe was 14-17 FG and 9-11 on 3s. Geez, get a grip on yourself. It's not my fault the Rox can't hit a shot outside of 20 feet.
Boy! Even Magic Johnson is laying down harsh stuff on the Lakers, but to give him credit, he has been saying the Lakers won't make the playoffs for about 3 weeks now, so I guess he knows something about b-ball after all
Hell... if I was coach, I'd want to do the exact same thing. Wearing suits is uncofortable... especially when you spend most of the night walking up and down the court, running to set up plays in the huddle, crouching down (JVG), or literally running off the court (Rudy). I'm sure those guys sweat right thru those suits every night... and its not fair that baseball coaches get to wear uniforms, and football coaches get to where team paraphenalia, hats, sweatshirts, and polos. Who came up with this whole "basketball coaches have to wear suits" thing anyways?
I was teasin' you man, don't take it seriously. But trust me, being a Rocket fan, I am NOWHERE near jealous of the Fakers, they now perfectly are molded to Kobe's liking, and I couldn't be happier
If we dont get ourself toghether quickly, we will find us fighting for playoff spot pretty soon. Denver is on tear, and Minny will make runs with all the talents they have.
Minny is too far behind, IMO. Denver is definitely a threat, and so is Memphis (which I STILL say will get the 6th spot, moving the Rockets back to 7th, and they would have done so by now if it weren't for all the injuries they have).
Somehow I have a good feeling about the outcome of the game. As bad as we played first half offensively, we are only down 5 points. Yao is not in foul trouble. And it's our home court. They have nowhere to go but up in the second half. GO ROCKETS!
Honestly... we are tremendously lucky to still be in this game, given the horrendous shooting (which has never been this bad since the new crew took over). If that's not a reason for optimism for the second half, I don't know what is.
I would love to share your optimism, but that same thing was said at half time in the last two games, and we know how that turned out. But the difference tonight is the intensity level by the Rockets, I am just worried that the Heat are too good to keep us hanging around if our shots from outside don't start dropping NOW!
I dont often post in these threads, but tonight I will. The Rockets are going to win this game guys. Dont ask me how I know, it's just a given. Just a given. Mcgrady is going to score close to 40 points. I think Charles Barkley is fat.
