23-25 minutes is fine considering he is a hyper shooter. Anymore and he could be a hindrance if he is on a cold streak
People saying Thornton sucks cause he had a few off nights. If he got more consistent minutes he'd be more consistent.
Man we played great defense after the first quarter. Only 71 points after that terrible 31 point quarter. We need that kind of commitment and focus every night. Also helps that the heady don't shoot a ton of 3s.

only 3 times in his past 16 games has he shot more than 50 percent....that's more than a few "off" night he is better off a pass shooting the ball than creating himself and the Rockets need to use him more like that
His career shooting percentages are down across the board. When he catches the ball there is about a 0.1% chance any of his teammates will touch the ball for the remainder of that possession. He's had some marvelous games this year, but in retrospect they may have been against more of the cupcake teams (0-6 against San Antonio, did poorly against OKC too if I remember right). Over the long haul, Thornton is a good stopgap, but he's not going to be a major rotational player on a championship contender.

It was strange. Tonight was Kind of like last year when dmo played a lot of center. Harden is really good when he has space to see the floor and get in the paint. Starting howard and Capela is really hurting the team a lot.
