What's wrong with yao ming having one bad shooting night? Francis and Mobley get a bad shooting night every other game! We aren't complaining are we? This is like Yao's first 'bad' shooting night and a lot of whiners are lurking which is really confusing me...he still got a double double and his shooting wasn't that bad. His misses were unlucky. Francis and Cat sometimes miss doing unwanted shots. So stop whining!

    Rockets win by 20 points

JVG isn't going to let the Rockets overlook this game against his brother.

JVG and SVG talk like everyday, right? I wonder if they discuss gameplans and plays...

This game, exactly like the Simpsons episode where Bart and Lisa play the championship hockey game against each other, will end up with the two Van Gundy brothers shaking hands at midcourt and leaving the game a draw. That is, until Caron Butler, stealing the ball away from JVG's hands, slams the ball home for a cheap win and proclaims himself "2004 Rookie of the Year."

After the game, Eddie Griffin waits in the parking lot for Butler to emerge...

    Rockets 88

If the Rockets lose I suspect Jeff throws one for the brother....

Or Yao gets mugged, nobody shoots well and the
Heat have a monster shooting game, close to 50%.

    Otherwise...

    Rockets 102- Heat 91

Ok.. Rockets will win the game..

the final score will make it look closer than it actually was..

in other words, by midway through the 3rd quarter, the Rockets will be pushing their lead to as many as 30..

JVG will then begin to rest his starters.. letting people like Padgett and Wilks and Mooch and Boki play the bulk of the 4th quarter..

Heat will leave their starters in longer, they will gain some ground on the score, getting it down to 12 or so..

But there is simply not enough time left, they run out of steam, and the Rockets win by 19 points..

    ..making the final score of:

    105 - 86

.. look closer than it was.

..there, how's that for a prediction?

What if the Heat played against a miniature JVG?

    Mini-JVG 60
    Heat 58
    Mini-JVG wins on a buzzer beating 3.

No way JVG is losing to his brother...he might never live it down. He simply will not let us be unprepared.

Heat are hard nosed and play pretty good defense, but struggle offensively. I expect a low scoring grind-it-out game:

    Rockets 83
    Heat 76
