But you forget we played extremely well before Yao came. And Yao's arrival has made our team worse and worse. And our smart Danjojo dreamed with playoffs in the past four years without that crappy Yao.

Man, I know it's early in the season....very early that is. BUT it is so great to see the Rockets as the #1 team in the NBA in wins.
Possibly its the Guards. They have their own adgenda and their mind set focuses on their own Game not invoplving Yao Ming or even helping him as a Playmaker. JVG seems not to be aware of how the Big Mans game shown in the Preseason has been put to rest. Yao Ming will never be a great player on a Guard Oriented Rockets Team, till JVG demands it of him!
The Big Deal is that Many Fans after the Preseason had hoped to see a Yao Ming that would be a 20/10/3 this season. Not that he would be excluded from the Offensive Game, so that the Guards could strut their stuff! We have had FOUR Seasons of the Guards STRUTTING their STUFF and most Fans looked forward to this Season to see Yao Ming emerge not flounder.
So far JVG has the team playing really well with the Zone Defense. do you think the zone defense should be dumped? I hated it when it was brought into the NBA, because of how badly it destroyed Rudy's coaching of the Rockets. ISO was what Rudy was about, and it worked before the Zone was brought. I am not sure if I would want the zone taken away, because of the Rocket's current play.
That's the team play which could make them keep winning, hopefully they could keep doing it continually in coming games! Then we would frequently have a face like this
A wins a win, and that's all that matters. Mobley was the hot man tonight that got our offense in gear. When Yao is the hot player on the floor, then he'll be the center of attention on offense. Whoever is hot is going to receive the ball on the majority of the possessions. That's all I saw tonight.
If this is true, JVG should bench his guards. Mobley took 21 shots and Yao took 7 shots including 3 shots in garbage time? This is absolutely ridiculous. I guess JVG would not be happy about this even if Rockets won the game.
Yao is probably the only guy on the team who understands how a pick and roll works. Maybe you cannot teach fundamentals either? A win is always good, but I am sure JVG has a lot of concerns right now. He always has, and that is what is great about him.
Yetti, please for the love of Pete STFU with the "Woe is Yao routine". The team is playing solid basketball and winning. Yao cannot be the man every night, thats why its a team sport. You cant force the ball into the post if Yao does not have position, the "gaurds" are just taking what the defense is giving them and making the defense PAY FOR IT!!!!! You would think winning would be enough to keep posters from complaining Geez.
