That is not right even in this game. We are much better with Yao on the court even he did not shoot nor score. When Yao left the game in the third quarter, we were up by 14. Now at the end of the third quarter, we were up by only 9.

Ok, maybe you missed it where I posted that "Granted, Yao can improve..."

It's a 2 way street, as someone here was very diligent in expressing a while back.

Actually he's more agile than most of the center's his size, and even when he isn't playing well, teams are still trying to gear their defence towards him, so I wouldn't exactly say he sucks.

When he was drafted, Rudy said he was going to be a 3 year project, he started getting ahead of schedule, people jumped on his bandwagon prematurely, I still say he's a couple of years from being a true force, but he's good enough right now to be effective on this team.

when Yao is out, Heaters attacks the basket easily. And when Yao is out, our jumpers are challenged more often. You cannot look at Yao's 6 points and say he sucks.

We couldn't score even with France and Cat on the court when Yao was at the bench. I guess the guards did not have as much open shot any more.

All these point to the fact that we need Yao there regardless of his sub-par performance on his standard, which is still much better than most centres.

Will people stop reverting back to that lame argument again? The guards did a heck of a job considering the lack of talent around them. They had a couple of close misses but were young and should/nees to be hitting their strides from this season on (hopefully).

I mean by the same argument, where were they with Yao? The lottery. See how lame the arguments would get?

Padgett is a good compliment of Yao. The kid could shoot from everywhere. We are breaking this game wide open.

LOOK! We score 6 straight points in 4th quarter when Yao is on the court. Go Rockets!

That's exactly the point. Yao gets other shooters open. As well as Rox are shoot J's, Heaters still double team Yao, just to tell you what is more dangerous in their opinion.

Okay no one is saying that Yao s*cks. We are just saying that he needs to improve on certain things and won't dominate yet.

Actually I am having a big dissappointment 6 games into the season, because I was hoping that Yao would dominate NOW. But that doesn't seem like the case. I'll lay back and give him one or two more seasons.
