So you’re the person whining about someone whining?
Nevertheless, my opinion is just an observation over an extended period of time watching the way Silas operates. Combining that with his postgame interviews about young guys making it hard on him for the rotation, one can infer that he has no intention of playing the young guys.

The vets on this team are not good. That includes DJ.

What I have to add is that these issues are, in fact, not pertinent. I think the quality of discussion here has gone way downhill because of all the knee-jerk complaining that people do, and I think that is lamentable.

    You don't have a point.

You are just b****ing about other people b****ing.

Silas is not perfect, we can point out flaws on a f'ing discussion board.

    Right or wrong.

But he is playing the young guys. They are getting minutes. Could they be getting more? Sure. But they are playing and they played a lot last year during the regular season.

DJ is a decent backup PG and GMs of the NBA obviously agree because he's been in the league a long time. Don't really care what your opinion is there. The young guys on this team could learn a lot from a guy like Eric Gordon.

But that's the point, Rox are a bunch of babies yet the real Heat starting team had to play 2 quarters to make it a close game. Of the starters only Bam and PJ play 13 mins, the rest played 15 mins or higher which is already significant PT. With the addition of Tucker, Lowry and Morris Heat are lowkey one of the best teams in the league. If the Rox could hang with their starters for 4 quarters instead of 2 then we'd be talking about championship aspirations rignt? I think its crazy our rooks who havent even played a real nba game had that kind of result. Maybe you missed but the Heat are so good they beat up the Hawks by 26 with their starters playing less minutes.

Scrubs? So Herro, Robinson and Morris are scrubs now? Cuz they played the most at 22 mpg. Lol thats their legit 2nd unit man. Yurtseven, Okpala and Dedmon are gonna be part of the rotation for the Heat this season.

The Rox played just as many scrubs as the Heat we played House, Exum and DJ Augustin who all arent part of our future. We are also missing EG who would have been our starting SF instead of House who went 0-7.

In fact this result scares me cuz it seems the Rox are now too good to have a top 3 or even top 10 pick this season.

LOL I've made many points that haven't been rebutted, but unfortunately I've had to spend more time refuting assumptions about what I think based on things I haven't said

Of course you can express your opinion, and I can express my opinion that these conclusions are being drawn annoyingly prematurely

The Miami Heat have a 3 year window at least.

Reload again around Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro

    Kyle Lowry
    Jimmy Butler
    PJ Tucker

The Miami Heat are a Playoff Team, so many players with Finals experience and even a Championship.

The Rockets are inexperienced and playing against strong players, with more experience.

Yall Need to Chill Out. Let the Players learn.

Remember how the Astros years ago had to learn how to win again.

The Rockets are learning a uptempo system, learning defensive schemes. A lot of experience and correcting in practice.

DJ Augustin is a SG in PG body.

He is an offensive specialist off the bench. But he looks for his own shot first and foremost.

He had exactly ONE assist last night.

And he averages 3 assists for his career.

Also a defensive liability, not switchable.

Don’t really care about your opinion either. It’s a bad one.
DJ has not played major minutes in years, he’s a great locker room guy.
Bottom line is Gordon, Nwaba, Theis, House shouldn’t get more minutes than the young guys. And you’re just wrong if you think they should, or even that the young guys are getting enough PT.

not Rockets related, but Tyler Herro looked very impressive. He certainly looks a lot stronger, but it seems to have translated to his game as well.

Mobley may be skinny but his length and skills are legit threat to get to rim, shoot or pass.

Very difficult to make Mobley 1 dimensional on offense.

Plus he is a 2 way player so not liability on defense.

All my Cavs friends love Mobley's optionality and position flex.

    He looked really good.

And this is coming from someone who did not want Herro.

He averages 4 AST per game for his career, in 24 minutes. 6 per 36. Like I said, a decent backup PG.

I agree he is a liability defensively

    I second this.

Wood is playing out of position as stretch 4 and its killing the momentum he built from last season.

He is quicker and bouncier than many 5's but not as much a mismatch vs. oversized 3's and traditional 4's.

Silas is setting him up to fail.

    3.3 is not 4.

    C'mon.

Christian Wood simply cannot continue on as the star of the Rockets if he's gonna keep whiffing on his High Fives and Low Fives with teammates. Completely unacceptable. Aim for the elbow, young one.

DJ has averaged over 20 mpg the past five years, again I never said he deserves any more than that.

I never said the vets should play more than the young guys, and I never said the young guys are getting enough. I have only said it's too early to tell because these are preseason minutes and there is in all likelihood a trial and error process going on here.

I'm seeing 4.0 on Wikipedia, but if Basketball Reference or something shows a different number I'm open to it
