ClutchFans Game Thread: Heat @ Rockets 10/7/2021 (Preseason)

As someone who went to SugarLand Middle & Kempner.... I felt that

 

Hot take : KPJ is not it for running PG as your future.

 

Possibly but I'm still trying to figure out what offensive system Silas is actually wanting his players to play in.

 

Yes, absolutely.

You surround Simmons with 3ball shooters and he will get you an open look with his gravity.

Silas plan is to surround Snipa with ZERO 3ball threats.

Did you even watch the starters, they REEK defensively and struggle to score in the paint.

The ball handlers are too raw or too skinny and avoid contact.

 

I still don't want Simmons . Doesn't mean I like what I see, but I was prepared for a rough year anyways so expectations are incredibly low.

 

What will change?

Adding another skinny rookie?

 

Let's give all the baby ballers some time shall we? We're in for a long season or two. How about we find someone else to on. Let's start w/ the fool we stole him from.

He has plenty of time to figure it out. We knew things would be rough this year; that's what happens when you have a young team.

 

We have too many NBA level players, we are going to need to trim the roster and the playing time.....just have too many - most need playing time to develop - and we have too many.

green can shoot for sure . Effort on D was better tonight , but still looked lost

KPJ good , but jumper not as fire as last night .

Maximizing winning games would our lineup would probably look like

KPJ/ DJ
Gordon/green
Tate/ House
Wood/ Nwaba
Theis/ Sengun

Green is the 2 pick , but hes not better than gordon or tate at this point.

But, we are gonna start green and hope he learns quickly. Its our D that will suffer most, plus he isnt at a good NBA strength level yet.

KMJ, Garuba , JC , and a few other guys have a chance to take a spot too if they play well consistently

 

House needs to be waived
Green looked better, still need to see him do more.
KPJ can turn it on when he wants.
Jaygup needs more pt
Brooks need more pr
Wood seems to be trying too hard to prove he’s a star.
Not sure about Silas in the long run as coach.

Stone needs to package Gordon, House, Wall and possibly Wood….

PJ: Take House on the bus with you... he can record down here in South Florida

 

He put up 50 on the best defensive guard in the league. Lowry isn't far off from being the best defensive guard in the league, either. The Heat as a whole have a stud lineup defensively. KPJ will be fine

 

Theis + Wood lacks the chemistry of Olynyk + Wood.

 

House needs to be benched. Tired of him. Christopher needs to spend time in the G-League to further develop his passing skills. He has a lot of talent and potential to be a really good scorer (I'm thinking future 6th man candidate), but for his size, he absolutely has to get better at taking care of the ball.

Nwaba only needs to play in short spurts, extended time really exposes him. Snipa needs to be kept on the roster, cut everyone else.

I like Theis.

 

And do only gawd knows what in North FLA.
