A superstar is supposed to keep shooting to get himself hot in order to give his team a chance to win. Last time I checked, Tmac is a superstar.
Although I wanted to see Yao out there too, how good would it have been to have a 360 pound monster land on his toe?
blah blah bad team this that we stay close against great teams with scrubs playing for our starters yes scrubs they may have been made into avg. players since contributing but they would be third string players baring otherwise. Tmac couldnt shoot and was confused at first and couldnt get comfortable bc shaq came out and had a hand in his face we lost Yao is back tom. see all the bandwagoners jump back on tom. night. Ill cya after the memphis game im out.
Well after 4 blown defensive assignments- juwan should have been on the bench. Stro played just 8 minutes- I would rather rotate baxter, hayes and Stro than Juwan- when we want to defend, he is horrible. If this is how our PF position goes-we might as well roll the dice and start Chuck/Baxter- atleast they hustle.
I agree, we should start Lonny and Chuck. They bring so much energy and 2nd chance shots. When your a team like the Rockets and shot bad, you need 2nd chance shots. I am tired of Juwan and Deke. They are so slow and so bad on defense. Chuck could guard anybody. Hell he was even guarding Shaq today. Tomorrow they play the Grizz, I am willing to bet that the Rockets have a slow start once again because Pau will tear up Juwan. I bet you if Chuck guards Pau, he won't have a good night. Deke brings no offense and is so slow.
Well, the back injury is still on his mind. He doesn't want to get injured. But he DID attackt the rim much more oftern in the 4th quater. I think Tmac knows that he needs to attack the rim, he is just saving it to the crucial momoments because he doesn't want to re-injure himself. Man, did you see him fall to the ground holding his foot on one drive to the basket? That was a scary moment. I would just give this guy all the breaks he needs. Rafer had a solid game. I hope he is getting more comfortable in the flow of offense, not hesitating on hitting his shots off drible or driving to the net.
McGrady looks like someone who will never be healthy again, it's extremely painful watching your franchise player limping and struggling to stay in the game, and still asked to do so much for his team to even be in the game. Seriously, let's just shut it down this year and don't rush Yao back and put McGrady on the IL for the rest of the year, this **** ain't going to help us in the future. It's either an ailing McGrady scores 40 every night on 50% shooting or the Rockets aren't even close to being in the game. Just pathetic, complete rebuilding of this team before next season starts is a MUST, or every year we will be a borderline playoff franchise with constantly injured star players because they wear themselves out during the season trying to carry the entire team for 82 games; no top-tier team in the league goes full-force during the season, they are good enough to cruise, which we clearly aren't.
i dont even know what the problem with this team is anymore. or maybe theres too many to list. i know les said he wants players and a coach that has the mentality to win but you also have to consider talent. other than tracy/yao..nvm. we been through this many times. no matter how much we agree we have no power to change anything. and people who have it havent did much.

The real season starts tomorrow. No team can beat the Rockets with Yao and Mcgrady. The Rockets may not lose another game again all season.
LOL! I love your optimism, but it will take Yao at LEAST two weeks just to somewhat get back in basketball shape, assuming he stays healthy or course along with McGrady. Too many variables and all need to be going our way just for this team to have a chance to put a nice winning streak together. Also, we need the teams struggling now to stay struggling and we need a couple of "borderline' playoff teams to struggle in this second half of the season, assuming of course we're playing well.
I understand what you are saying but I think Yao will pick up right where he left off before he went out. Yao and Tracy were playing their best basketball during that 5-1 road trip. I think Yao and Mcgrady, when together again, will be fighting mad and they'll get the Rockets back in the the playoff race before the allstar break. We have 10 games before the break, I expect them to win at least 8 out of those 10 games. I haven't forgotten how good of a team the rockets are when both Yao and Mcgrady play. Yao, Mcgrady, Alston and Hayes will be on the court together for the first time and it should be fun to watch. They will make a run before the break. That I am certain of.
