We won 44 games last year. So we'd have to win just about the rest of our games to secure a better record.
Martin is an offensive scoring machine. I still don't get how he does it, but I really appreciate his ability to score and get to the line.
Our MVP came back from his cut lip to run the team. Chuck disrupted the ATL offense with enough steals. PPat came through with his getting to be regular 6 point streak late 3rd and early 4th periods. KM and LS doing the heavy scoring. Whether or not we make the playoffs, this little team that could have made believers once more of the fans, the media, the league, and management. I could see Les giving RA (or this coaching staff) another chance again for the right price. In fact, I think that's what he asked Chuck Hayes when they had dinner the other week.
As good as sentimentalism is, I think Chuck should secure finances for his life. He goes to the team that gives him the best $$$$ guaranteed. It's business before pleasure in this life.
It kindve makes me mad that a team like New York gets so many headlines and post-season play, when the Rockets will finish with a better record in a tougher division and better conference, with no All-Stars. UGH! Yao went out for the season, Brooks was injured/traded, Hayes was out for a while, Scola was out for a while, and we also traded Battier - yet are 5 games above .500 when starting the year 3-11. proud of these guys! and yes, I know Scola and Martin are borderline All-Stars if not completely deserving... but they dont get the recognition and the hype so I think I can use it for my argument. geez, even Lowry is playing at an A.S. level!
wrong. we won 42 games last year, which means we have to win 2 more games. Better to check your stats before correcting someone.
They just won't quit, I am so proud of this team (since the break). If they get in the playoffs, they are going to be a very tough out.
I have to add: Kevin shook off a slight ankle sprain to play. He never missed any time though there were times he was limping, he just laced up his shoe tighter. He's getting tougher.
.... time to grow up? and who are you? I put up a proud fan post about our team this year, yet still ACKNOWLEDGING that its also Houston's FAULT that it is where its at, and you have the audacity to make a stupid statement like "time to grow up" to me? I'm pretty sure that my initial statement, while being idealistic, was still mature. For someone telling someone else to grow up, you might want to try your own advice.
Another great win by the rockets. Big props to Lowry, Scola, Chuck, and everyone else. Mr. Fool's Gold aka Mr. Anti-clutch, with a great game and even in the 4th...
Very proud of this team. Adelman has done the best job in the NBA getting the most outta his team. If you take any coach to replace Adelman, the rockets would be the worst team inn basketball. Hopefully Les will stop being cheap and offer him an extension
I know I know, and I'm PUMPED! I just dont understand why fellow fans on here are such jacka55es sometimes out of nowhere. I'm bummed that the Rockets chances for the playoffs are low too, but its like.. we come on here cause we're all in this together and some people just have to jump on one other for no good reason other than either having to be "right" or more "well-informed" etc and so on.
This team is establishing itself. That we are pushing for the playoffs is just coincidental. Think about it: -- Lowry has now got his hands in everything like an octopus. Runs the show. Total responsibility. Hayes is now getting his playing time, and his triple doubles. Bud getting his shot as a starter. 2Pat is getting solid minutes now, and making a solid debut. Lee getting more minutes. Its also his chance to prove himself. -- We've lost Battier, AB, and ... reduced minutes for Miller and Hill. The only constants are Scola and Martin, both of which are playing well.
