Still not on that Corey Brewer level, I see... maybe next season.... Great loss for the team. Now we leave it in the hands of probability. I'm ready for that #5 pick.
A lot of teams are phasing out true traditional point guards. I think we need to get out of the mindset that KPJ isn't a point guard. He isn't a TRADITIONAL point guard. I think people wanting him to be a traditional point guard affects his mindset. We need a coach who can incorporate Green and KPJs skills. I think they both could have really good assist and scoring numbers if they were both utilized correctly. I think they both have a bright future.
I'd like to dedicate this #1 losing season to Portland for if it wasn't for them losing horridly two games in a row the Rockets may never have decided to bench their vets to lose out the rest of the way. Here's to you Portland!
Jalen Green came to play. His illness was minor and temporary. He went out with a bang! 41 points is nothing to sneeze at, even though it was the last game of the regular season. KPJ had another really good game too. I hope our front court problems will get better. It's unfair to expect too much from Sengun despite his talent. Go Houston Rockets!
I know. They should really think about putting in a bonus clock if a player starts to get hot at the end of the game (like the HR derby used to do)
Having multiple players that can facillitate is good but trying to argue that Green need more touches IN THIS GAME is a little inane. Green was at his best scoring, not so much distributing. And that's okay.
+/- isn't a good measurement for performances on a tank team (right?) but it's weird to see green do so much better than kpj and sengun while playing similar mins.
With nothing on the line... if Orlando goes off and wins today against Miami I'll consider them to be faking the entire season
I agree in this game. I just hope next year they can both facilitate and relieve some pressure from KPJ and this traditional point guard rhetoric. I think both of these guys can be great facilitators and scorers. I'm ready for the draft and seeing who we draft. Get rid of Wood and Gordon. I think they were detrimental to the development of the team overall, at least on the court. Im pretty sure Gordon was great for them during practice. The future looks bright. I think the team can at least reach the play-in next year.
Yup, exactly what you want to see out of young players. Tons of shooting, tons of scoring, great stats, but essentially zero contributions to winning.
