Great to see Ming play all of those minutes at a very high level. That shot at the end through the double team was a thing of beauty. Hats off to Cat Steve and Jackson for also leaving it all out there on the floor tonight as well.
    Great win.

Out of three PF's (two of whom get paid big $$$), why can't one just be completely average, instead of good at one thing, but horrible at everything else.

Cato: decent defense, rebounding, blocks, but horrible shooting, passing, offense... thus, he can't be out there in the fourth quarter.

Mo-T: decent shooting, posting up, free throws, but horrible pick and roll defense, rebounding, and passing.

Spoon: decent rebounding, passing, and post defense, but horrible jumping ability, jumping ability, jumping ability.

If only the Rockets could find a way to snag Okafor... he'd be the IDEAL player to play along Yao. Too bad he's gonna be the 1st pick of the draft.

Thank you for reminding me to put you on ignore list. I would reduce my chance of wasting my 2 minutes on craps from you all the time.

I could put you on there too if you like, but then clueless YOF's such as yourself are sometimes worth reading as comic foil.

BTW, I have never played craps with you in my life so I have freaking idea WTF you are talking about lancy baby.

Congratulations!Rockets won the game though its so close,so hard, and just vs a weak team. Its not bad.

    Congratulations!Yao!

    Hes amazing tonight!He scored his career-high 41,got his career-high assists,also have a career-long time game!

Hes the most impressive player this game.he got many scores by fighting against double or triple team and especially got 8 in triple overtime to lead Rockets to win.Thats not bad.

    go!Yao! go!Rockets!

Even though it was the freak'n Hawks and even though we played like crap, this was HUGE WIN. I finally saw some heart out there, I finally saw Yao, Steve, and co. wanting to win a game bad, and refusing to lose.

Just another thought: Did JVG not have an answer for the pick and roll? The Hawks abused the Rockets with the pick and roll all night, especially in 4th, and JVG and co. didn't seem to worry about it at all.

It was amazing to see Yao. He was brilliant. Steve and Cat did a fine job in the latter part of the game and JJ was his usual steady self but our defense wasn't good which is always critical to our success.
If we had lost the team would have been demoralized. I don't think we could have won a game like this last year but a lot of problems persist. We can't afford to get in trouble against weak teams like Atlanta, they didn't have SAR or Rasheed and even then we could have been beaten.

great game to rebuild the whole team. this year, we won more games that we should win. last season, we lost too many games against crap teams. though we can't beat Mav and Spurs, we've already advanced one big step.

ATL were corrupted at the 3rd OT. what I saw is Rox attacked them over and over, seemed we'd like to play this game forever if they want. Then, ATL is totally destroyed mentally.

especially happy that Yao fouled out ATL's 2 centers and ignored that triple team as air.

Even though we won it took us 3 OT's to put away the NBDL's newest team, A win is a win though. Looks like yao is gaining even more confidence then ever taking over in the final OT. I hope we go to yao more often in the clutch instead of having steve iso all the time.

Gotta wonder how Brent Barry will do in this inside-out half-court offense. Brent Barry jacking up 3 pointers off passes from Yao? It sounds like a good scoring duo.
