Have Dwight's Appreciation Night tomorrow, just before tipoff. Surprise him and throw him off his game. Employ hack-a, he goes 1 for 30, boring win.
Super Bowl weekend coming up here so I hope the team can stay focused on business and not doing what I will be doing.
I spent allllllll day thinking it was Thursday, only to realize around 3:30pm that it was Wednesday. ****.
I love this idea. We had some good years while Dwight was here. It would totally be doing a solid to him, and the entire league would have to give us props for the surprise element. Plus, let's not kid ourselves. We kicked Dwight out the door this offseason, not the other way around. And as much as you can peg last year on him, you can peg it on McHale/JB's coaching inability and Harden showing up out of shape, about two Kardashians overweight. Because Khloe so fat, she eats TWO Kardashians.
Hawks coming off a B2B. Rockets had the day off, didn't have to travel. Rockets better come out hitting shots.
Really need Eric Gordon to rediscover his form from three. He was well over 40% earlier in the year, now down to under 39. No coincidence that his slump and injury have paralleled the Rockets lackluster play recently. Getting his three point shot back on track is really crucial.
Bet big on the Rockets...They will win... Harden has had two really subpar games...I expect him to drop 40/12/13 tomorrow night.
another thing i like about him though despite his slump is he is hoisting 10 3s per game no matter if they go in or not
Have to go for the W strongly tonight. Budenholzer´s teams always play hard and smart. I want to see Dekker vs Dunleavy hybrid forward battle. Harden goes nuts agains Dwight. Capela outplays Dwight on the defensive end and put a couple of the alley oops we are not seeing anymore.
He also took out a full page ad in the newspaper thanking Houston's fans and he was great in the community. The only disappointments I really have left over from the Dwight era are his FT shooting nightmare that really handicapped his effectiveness...and his last season with the team when it all basically fell apart as far as team unity goes and him admitting he was not always giving full effort for his reasons (basically, being told he wouldn't get the ball more and was glossed over offensively). He tried but he was not the answer unfortunately. We knew it was a long shot when he came in despite all the championship talk. I don't think he deserves to be boo-ed. As far as the game, I seem to recall the Rockets have gotten their tails kicked in Atlanta a lot and this season. I expect us to lay down the hurt this game. If we lose this game, then I have a problem even if Houston doesn't.
