"Leading scorer Joe Johnson will try to break out of his slump. He had a season-low 10 points on 4-for-17 shooting from the field against the Cavaliers.

Johnson, who is averaging 26.9 points and shooting 49.1 percent from the field this season, has scored just 22 total points on 10-for-33 (30.3 percent) shooting in his last two games after scoring 31 in a 100-90 loss to Indiana on Dec. 22."

 

Rockets will shoot horribly and the high to's will make a game out of this one. But they will pull it out,

Joe Johnson shot some horrible airballs in his 10 point game last up against the Cavs.

I expect him to come out on fire! he's a really!! good player, and I expect him to light us up.

JJ to score 36 points.

But TMac to answer with 25 and get solid scoring help from Alston, Battier and J-Ho.

give the Rockets this one. And I predict we'll break the sometimes seemingly insurmountable 90 point barrier for the second game running!!

Rockets win...they better! These are games we need to win to keep pace.

I have confidence in T-Mac (unlike many people in Houston) to be the superstar he has been.

 

People (including me) will lose hope and get desperate if we dont win this game. The Hawks is one of the worst team in the league. And we are receiving them at home. I expect a win even without T-mac.

 

I didn't realize he was slumping the last couple of games. Still, JJ doesn't really get shut down by defenders. He is a dynamic talent who will abuse anyone we put on him (unless he stays in his mini-slump, of course). I want to see what happens to him if/when the Hawks finally get a decent PG. Maybe Speedy Claxton will come out of his coma.

 

We can NOT lose this game...we should take the next 3 easily at home...Hawks, Grizzle, and Sonics....

I predict there will be 5 players in double figures for points and McGrady will have a triple double. I've never replied to one of these before, figured what the hell!

Rockets should win this game. With Yao out it is paramount that they win their games against the "lesser" teams and at least try to tread water until Yao comes back.

I agree,If you beat the lesser teams chances are you will be over .500,there are more bad teams than good ones

 

I just saw Steve Novak at the Best Buy on Richmond near the loop. He had a cute little girlie with him and he seemed like he was trying to avoid recognition so I didn't bother him.

This was about 2 hours ago. He better get to the Toyota Center before Van Gundy decides to cut his minutes....Wait, I forgot. He's still not even a rotation player.

 

Interior defense, that's what we need. Put Battier on JJ, and that should do the trick, unless Johnson goes off Ben Gordan style.

rockets are back on track and i say they will be ABOVE .500 when yao comes back due to monster battier and tmac with his newlyfound health. lol i say tmac goes for 35 10 and 5
