This'll be a win. JJ can be shut down, and the rest of their team is well...horrible. Josh Smith is having surgery on his hernia. Childress is not at full strength. Their PGs are arguably worse than ours. And uhh they suck?

I have one thirdth chance being able to watch this game on tv. The cable guy apparently made some mistakes that the last three channels were not locked on my tv. :)

The Rockets better win this one. The Hawks are a terrible team. Just keep the turnovers down and we should be fine.

Surely you jest about shutting JJ down. He's one of the most unstoppable players in the NBA this year. Assuming he plays his normal game, we should still win. If it weren't for Memphis, the Hawks would be on a 10 game losing streak. We are catching them at the best possible time.

Rockets can win easily, but they got to come out with intensity. They will loose if they come out thinking they got this one in the bag.

hawks have zaza, marvin, wright, and shelden, ie they have a frontcourt. this game will give a clearer picture of whether the pacers game was an anomaly or if rockets will be forced to go after a big.

    Rockets 90
    Hawks 81

--McGrady continues to shake off the rust and scores 25 points on 9-21 shooting, to go along with five rebounds and seven assists.
--Bonzi Wells adds 15 off the bench
--Battier makes all three of his three-point attempts
--Mutombo is ejected for taunting the Hawks bench

Tmac brings pretty good perimeter defense. His length was sorely missed when he was injured

Joe Johnson has been in a bit of a slump lately, only getting 10 points last game. If he continues this slump, it's great news for us, but remember, in the game against the Grizzlies, their go to guy was Zaza Pachulia! who scored 22 points in the game. So for me, JVG should put Battier on Joe Johnson, and Deke on Pachulia, the former is still good for a couple of finger waggings, and if that fails, put Juwan or Hayes on Pachulia, should stop him. Other than that, I really can't see anybody pulling a 20 point game on us from the Hawks team.

I'm not saying that Tracy's being lazy. I'm just saying that his pain is causing him to take possesions off and be more passive. There were times on the defensive end where he got beat to the basket, and I know if he was feeling better there's no way that would happen.

During his drives towards the basket, there were too many times when he would meet resistance and kick it outside or turn the ball over. Without Yao, he is going to have to carry the load eventually. That means taking on double teams and still finding ways to score and make plays.

He's no where near 100 percent, and that was the point I was trying to make. I think he returned to the floor too early. He doesn't look ready to shoulder the load. I hope I'm wrong and he drops 30 or 40 on the Hawks.

must win game for the rox.

89 - 76....another 80 or lower effort for our opponents. our defense must step up to another level with yao out and this will be another game that demonstrates we can dominate on D.

Guys, don't call for T-Mac to score 30-40 because that means the rest of the team didn't show up and if that happens you know what that means until Yao gets back?

    LOSSES.

Also you don't want T-Mac scoring 30-40 on his shooting right now he's so rusty. Not scoring much (18-19) is probably better on the back, too.

In fact we want one of those games where we are up so much T-Mac doesn't have to play/play hard in the 4th. He can just work on chucking up shots and getting his touch back.

Let him shake off the rust some more, don't play him more than he has to (unless you have a mastermind like JVG keeping him in that late in the 4th :D ) this game shouldn't be too hard to win but anything can happen...

Bonzi needs to step up BIG TIME. We need to see more out of him than we are.
