This is sad that AB lost his minutes to Lue and then jvg screams we need more energy.

 

Like MrRolo said, Hawks sucks.

They really tried to hand us the game. If it wasn't for bad rebounding, we should have won by 35.

BBall God were also with us tonight. We had some crazy shots go in. Why can't the BBall God visit when we are struggling. I am not cursing you almighty BBall God, it's just that we need you much more in close games.

 

Looks like the the 3 days off was productive. As Van Chan mentioned, they seem to be attacking the basket and concentrating less on the outside shot, they weren't hitting that outside shot consistently so that's a good move. I would like them also to take fewer threes, except for T-Mac, I think this team is better off settling for the 18ft jumper than the three. I think Juwan is going to see more minutes from here on out as long as we continue to win, he is a former allstar and maybe more playing time will bring out those skills. MoT is in a terrible slump and his minutes should be cut back until he snaps out of it.

That thread that suggested a Toine trade should be put to bed. He is overrated, jacks up shots with a low percentage and is only an average rebounder and defender. I am not going to get too excited, the Hawks played terribly and the result was a blowout. If we can put together a 5 game win streak I will get excited.

 

I feel the same way, the only thing I can think is that JVG wants to see how good the team is with the 2, 1 guard lineup while Lue is in Vs. AB...

I really think AB could be a good point for us...PUT HIM IN!!!

 

Yes! He let Andre Barret play 2 min despite a blowout.

Didn't really notice this since it was a blowout. Barrett, overall, has played better than Lue.

JVG did not do the right thing here.

 

Backup PG gets around 12-15 minutes a night, why not go with someone that changes the game, AND has better vision...

Lue is probably the worst post entry passer I've ever seen. He just nonchalantly tries to throw it right over the head of his defender, who can easily just raise his arms and knock the pass away. Happens at least once in every game he has played this year.

 

I know we'd all rather have barret play today instead of lue, but
1) lue just got off the injured list
2) if lue's going to have a last chance to show that he shouldn't be shipped off, tonights a fine one to do that
3) if he is going to be shipped off, he needs to at least show that he isn't injured anymore.

Now, I'm hoping to see barrett back in the rotation soon.

 

This is all well and good but you know jvg will keep barret on the bench just because of his fickle nature. Jvg knows how to destroy the confidence of young players.

I'm really happy to see Yao's improvement with his shot blocking.

 

I didn't know we have player shorter than JVG, who is 5'6"?

 

I don't know whether to be happy with a blowout win or worried that we had trouble getting to 90 points against one of the worst defenses in the league (averages over 100 pts. given up a game).

Yao looked pretty good. I LOVE the new shot-blocking Yao (8 in the last two games)! Howard, I thought, played well even though he did give up a few offensive boards. Interesting, as well as Barret has been playing, that Lue was automatically in front of him on the depth chart the first game off the IL.

Is it me, or does Antoine Walker offensive foul EVREY TIME he drives on another player? I've NEVER seen somebody use his off-arm as much and as blantantly as he does.

Anyway, nice win. Hopefully this will carry over to next game and beyond.
