We really ought to win this game. Hawks are young, undisciplined, and relatively untalented.

Rockets lose to the Hawks.. because they always lose to bad teams.

    hmmm....

What a great idea! Let's tank the season less than 15 games into it for an inknown commodity! Not smart.

    Rockets win!!!!

    :D

Tracy's back will be a big inknown factor. If he plays and is not hurting, we will win.

Would you have ever thought, during pre-season, that this game would be dubbed the Rudy Bowl? :) Further, had I said it, wouldn't we have both thought then that it would have had something to do with Rudy T?

My, what an interesting first month of b-ball. Go Rockets!

And "I'm just saying" if you have to lose, Rudy Gay would be a treat for the team winning the lottery.

Seven game winning streak here we come! Alright that's too optimistic how bout a win and we go from there. Even without McGrady we should win tonight. A loss tonight and I'm goign to start worrying.

I'm certain that I'm in the vast minority on this, but I don't think TMac should play tonight, even if he's close to ready to go. The Hawks aren't that great, and of all teams, we should be able to close them out without TMac tonight.

That said, the additional 4 days of rest will probably pay off in the long run.

If TMac rushes back in and hurts himself worse, it's screwing our season even more.

If Rockets lose, can anyone say "Rudy Gay?" That's where we'll be...NBA Lottery. Maybe we should go for it, just like the Spurs did to get Duncan. Let Tracy have the remainder fo the season to heal completely, let Yao continue to improve his game, and Luther Head get some more experience. Get that #1 pick and we're in business. We'll have "the greatest Rocket team ever assembled!"

there is a sort of nervous excitement to this game for me.

this is huge for us. i know some people will say "it's still early these games mean nothing."

the truth is they all count in the end, and you can't forget about morale. if we lose this game how will the players be effected? they will either treat it as a wakeup call, or get down on themselves.

judging by how they have reacted this season, i say they will get down on themselves even more than they already are. the last thing we need is the players to give up on our season.

    according to patti smith,

JVG is still not sure T-Mac will play, then (patti) said that Thibodeax expects him to start.

I think T-Mac will play tonight. JVG is just being his pessimistic self.

There is nervous excitement for me as well, T-Mac is on my fantasy team. I got 10 minutes left to see whether i play Tracy tonight. If not, it's a wasted game
