The rox may be worn out, they were playing at such a high level because of all the tough teams we played early on. Hopefully they prove me wrong.
I wonder if RA has been told to use Ariza no matter what. By the way, can we trade all Rockets players except for Bud?
Way to start a 20-3 run; put Ariza and Battier in AT THE SAME TIME!?! My one major complaint about Adelman: match-ups and his apparent inability to formulate them.
Ariza only took 4 shots, which is acceptalbe, we just don't have that defensive force to stop those talented squads...
14-2 of that since Ariza and Battier came in. Adelman would make a great assistant coach drawing up plays but his in game decisions seem worse than a Dad coaching his 8 year old kids team at times.
Amen to that. I love this Hawks team....so many freakishly athletic players, J-Smoove being the main one. He's an absolute monster, he's so damn versatile.
missing free throws, missing easy shots at the rim, giving up offensive rebounds, getting shook by the pick n roll. just an all around failure at basketball in the 2nd quarter. coach 'em up rick and maybe we can come out on a hot streak.
people keep blaming Ariza, he might suck offsensively, but what happened was our shot didnot fall, and josh smith single-handedly killed us at both end .
I wouldn't go that far, but his in-game adjustments and substitution patterns are not strengths of his.
This team is just abysmal at best. They can't sustain high level play (even at home) because they lack talent. The first half of the season was fools gold. uggh...
Battier + Budinger was great. Battier + Ariza gave us a 21-3 run in Atlanta's favor. Take one of Ariza or Battier out of the game. It's that simple. And really there's no debate, Ariza needs to ride the pine. Even with his limited offensive output, Battier is by far a much better fit out there.
Ariza has not made better than half his shots in a game since Dec. 19 and is shooting 37.8 percent, just 30.3 percent from the 3-point arc. (yahoo) 1/5 tonight, he just needs more minutes.
