With this post (65), it's tied for the fewest with the final game of Yao's rookie year, when we missed the playoffs.

No need to single out quote/unquote YOFs. Nobody is showing up. Everybody is ready for the season to end already.

You have to admit this season was a disaster. Fans are very upset because they had a vision of Rockets going in to the finals and winning it. Also Astros are doing good and Texans have improve alot. So we will see how Rockets do in the offseason.

It's Easter holidays in Hong Kong, half of the residents here went out of town for vacations. :)

Even I get drunk last night and missed the game this morning. :D :D :D

If the Rockets plan on keeping Stromile around for next year, and want him to be a solid part of their team, then the ONUS is on JVG and the coaching staff to find some ways to get Stromile involved EARLY in the offense. Get him some things going towards the basket.

Without question, for Stromile it is all about "confidence." And when he sees himself doing well on the court, contributing like that, he seems to raise his level of play and he becomes a factor. But the coaches HAVE to be willing to get him involved. Swift isnt going to be like Hayes where you can just throw him out there and Hayes makes plays away from the ball, being a garbage man. Swift has to be IN on the action.

Clearly something this team needs to work on for next season.

So I just finished watching the game. i had a prior commitment and had to tivo it. Damn, these guys are tough to watch. Our roster is pathetic. I will be at the SA game on wednesday, the last game of the year. I will say as much I am ready for the Rockets season to be over, I am going to miss watching them. It is weird, even in this season of despair, I get pumped on game days.

I agree. JVG is stubborn, though. He has an idea of what wins, and he's not willing to compromise that to accomodate the strengths of his players. Swift is a lazy, unalert defender, and he'll never get a lot of minutes under Van Gundy while that's the case.
