    You're right, he plays the most minutes which is more reason for the Rockets to get a better offensive player in the offseason. This team is built to outscore opponents. Its easy for you to give the guy some slack when the team is winning. He has been the weakest offensive player on the team that plays a ton of minutes. I wouldn't mind him coming off the bench or playing less minutes. Besides, isn't the goal of every GM continuous improvement of the roster until you win a ring. That is unless you're happy being 3rd place.

    Oh man, you have it so wrong.
    Ariza is our lighthouse in the dark. He navigates the defense and holds everyone accountable, pretty much the only.one that can shout at Harden when he needs a wake-up call.
    He is our most valuable player after Harden in this team.
    I really hope he can hand on until the end of his contract, even if he loses a step on offense.

    Always nice to have the luxury of one great shooter off the bench. Lou & Gordon have been trading good shooting nights, cannot wait when both hit like 5-7 threes!! Not really impressed with this win, given the back-to-back and how poor their execution was. At least Harden & Capela had good nights, but cannot let up like this against the Spurs. Still a good win regardless. Our offense is through the ceiling since ASB.

    Well u assuming we not gonna win a ring this year, we have yet to see. Ariza is more for defense than his three point stroke at this point.

    Scoring 123 against memphis is pretty huge to be honest. Especially if the refs decide to call nothing for you in the first half

    If you put any stock in on/off numbers, Ariza is the second most important player on the team, Beverly is 3rd. Those 2 are probably 1A and 1B in terms of importance after Harden.

    Ariza plays all these minutes for a reason, we don't have anybody that can replace what he does. It would certainly help a lot if his shot came around, but even struggling defenses still respect him in the corner, so he isn't creating Brewer-like issues. His overall offensive IQ is very high, and he is pivotal on defense.

    Having said that, he has to shoot better if we want to beat the Warriors or Spurs. We can't replace or bench him (anybody suggesting that isn't paying attention), we just have to hope it comes around.

    Gasol needs to get the heck out of there. He will never win anything there. Just wasting his career. BTW, I wonder if Barkley still thinks Memphis is the third best team in the west? lol .That is two ass woopings we have given them in two straight games

    He's since then has changed his stance. Barkley gives the Rockets a lot of praise, even picking them to go to the WCF.
