I know what your saying, but its really getting old now. Considering how the Rockets handled the situation with Yao out last year, with a much less flexible offense and even less amount of capable players we went 20-12, and the fact that our defense is right back to last years level, and we're on a 14 game winning streak!!

What more do the Rockets have to do to get ANY respect around the NBA?
Go on a 25 game winning streak?

Its just kind of frustrating too that these so called experts even address the fact that Denver plays NO Defense, and doesn't compete at a high level on most nights, but somehow they are more talented than the Rockets and we will be the odd team out come late April.

I expect stuff like this from Barkley, cuz he's looking for ratings and attention, but ESPN is supposed to be the World Wide Leader of Sports. Its just becoming like Marv Albert with the Knicks in the 90's or Ahmad Rashad with MJ during the same time...too much biased opinion in the NBA media.

Honestly, I just can't wait to see what those "experts" will say when we prove them wrong...I wonder if ESPN will consider telling them to try and take an objective point of view, to maybe help them look less idiotic, instead of just rooting for their favorite players...

we got like 24 games left i expect rox to win bout 17 of them, then we move to 55-27 probably 5th seed playin utah again lol. we gonna beat them. although i hope we can keep the winning streak but u kno lets be realistic laker lost tonight to portland, so winning streak could end, im guessin if we beat dallas, winning streak might end when we play @SA so yea, 55-27 is not bad better than last year

Loved the easy win against an unmotivated team, but our lack of post-up offense worries me. With Yao out and Bonzi gone, it looked like McGrady was the only player who tries to post up regularly. Out of the remaining frontcourt players, Scola can do it a little but I'm not sure if that'll be enough.

i believe scola has a few more tricks in his pocket. and we need to gradually call more plays for him.

and i think tonight's game ends the battier-gay trade discussion PERMANENTLY.

WOOHOO. Los Angelos Fakers lost to Portland Trailing Blazers.

Good job Blazers, even though you're trailing, you showed Fakers that they aren't all that special

Honestly, how many of these people have actually watched a Rocks game in the last 5 years?

    Common thoughts:

The Rocks are not as good Dallas, Chicago, New Orleans, or even Houston defensively.

Mutombo is a better player than Yao. Yao is a slow, immobile center who can't rebound and play quality defense

    T-Mac cannot pass the ball.

Houston is not a very good team w/o T-Mac or Yao.

There are only two quality players on the whole team

Get over it.....ESPN sucks .... I've been telling people that for years.

You make a great point. The problem is, there is no other media that covers the NBA that closely, besides TNT, which I admit is funny because of Barkley. That is more of a show, instead of an analysis, like ESPN is supposed to be. NBA TV is out there, but doesn't get the publicity of TNT or ESPN. Unfortanately, the only way Houston gets any credit is if we win a title or 2...

but wait, I bet ESPN would then say that Jordan would have won those titles had he never retired. Jordan wouldn't allow his team to lose.

Well, for 2 postseasons, Hakeem didn't let his team lose either... Houston isn't getting their respect...just kinda messed up.

Even the Trail Blazers got more attention than we did when they went on their 13 game-winning streak. Now, we topped that, and we still don't get the credit.

This win is just fantastic when the LAL lost :D . No more competitor in winning streak. The Rockets is clearly dominating in having the longest streak.

The only way to shut the haters is to keep what we're doing right and continue winning. Who knows with a little momentum, favourable play-off run and a fired up team, we can go all the way.

If we beat this two teams, we will jump into the 4th seed ahead of Phoenix
(assuming Phoenix is not playing or winning any games). Utha will still be ahead as they are a division leader.

One weakness that was exposed last night was our D in the paint off penetration and fast breaks w/o Yao.

Our perimeter D is great, but every time they drove the ball in... there was something.

that actually means our perimeter D wasn't that great, otherwise their guards wouldn't have gotten into the lane so easily. we definitely need another interior presence but our perimeter defenders also need to do a better job of preventing the dribble penetration. it was a problem even when we had yao.

Well, we need the third option scorer and right now that's turning into the Scola/Landry two headed monster. Combined they scored 30 pts and 8 rebounds. Without Yao, that's still a potent combination to put with T-Mac who scored 25 pts last night. We have extremely balanced scoring and Deke kinda makes up for Yao with his high rebound rate and shot blocking.
