That's cuz he isn't a center he is a PF. Jabari is growing up to be similar to him as well so that's a very good sign.

I know everyone is talking about Tari and rightfully so, but for me the unsung hero of this game is Jabari Smith.

Dude silently out up 20/10 on 70% shooting. Honestly he prob could have had a career game if he was given more shots. He was open a lot of times too and was waving his hands in the air but nobody passed him the ball a couple of times.

Wasn’t able to watch the game. Checking out the box score. Jesus Jalen, this can’t keep happening.

Was not able to see the game due to it being blacked out. But, a few comments on the season so far:

We continue to have different people step forward...that's a GOOD thing ! No one, and I mean no one, is going to to be "on" every night. Some are more consistent than others...consistency is the key you strive for of course. Alpy has been driving the bus a lot, but matchups can be a problem at certain times.

Bari's shooting is getting better..the Auburn Bari is in there somewhere and you see flashes of that..again need consistency...rebounds are there consistently..had 2 at half and ended up with 10.Defense is pretty good IMO.

FVV shooting % is not very good most nights it seems BUT...he distributes the ball very well, and hits some key 3's.

Tari after some hiccups is really coming on...he is the "energy" that turns the engine oftentimes. He is a great rebounder as well as a 3 pt. shooter..rebounds well because he wants the ball more than who he is competing against...a must to be a really good rebounder.

Dillon...wasn't a big fan originally....but he brings that "get the hell outta here defiance" that every team needs to have one of...just keep it channeled correctly. He can shoot the 3...up and down..brings good defense. I'm not sure I see a really noticeable gap between him and Tari and Bari etc.

Jalen....total reprogram needed here unfortunately...I hate to continue to harp....but he has to adjust to Ime "team" ball versus playground basketball..I still believe he can "get it" but he's struggling. Don't think he's used to the "structure".

Great bench presence with Uncle Jeff, Holiday, etc. We do need a backup center IMO in a serious way. This is going to be FUN to watch !

Bench Jalen to 6th man scorer and get Jabari more shots with the starting unit.

Jalen is fine as the starter just sit his ass down when he is playing bad.

Tari is doing fine as a shock trooper coming in and getting warmed up vs opponent bench I see no reason to change what has been working so far just to spite Jalen.

Really now ? Bari is getting unbelievable opportunities to score each game....I mean what was it tonight ? TEN whole shots and he makes 7 for 20 pts. I understand he was waving his hands in the air wanting the ball but no need to give him the ball when he's knocking down 70% of his shoots. By comparison, in 3 minutes LESS PT Tari takes 16 shots and makes 10 (62.5%).....that's 6 more shots in 3 less minutes than Bari. You expect Bari to carry the scoring shooting 11 shots on average ? Wow, just wow. We got problems but Bari is not one of them...11 shots average and make 70% it'll work out.

We ****ed around and almost found out...glad Ime stopped that little experiment with Jock, because Jeff was huge. AGAIN! Tari is just continuing to be dominant, Jabari very solid again and we played enough solid defense to get the W. But this should've been a blow out, as soon as FVV did that heat check to start the 3rd, I knew we came out with a lack of focus and it resulted in fouling left and right. Granted, referees tried their best to keep the game close, but we made it very easy for them.

Jalen Green, man what's left to say? He just keeps playing like it's a half court 3-on-3 game almost. There's no space for what he's trying to do most of the time and he just keeps getting charges called because he thinks he can just slip by people and lacks awareness. I will keep harping on that last part, because it's key to his success. Also the fading away when he doesn't need to is just so frustrating. Throwing up airballs because of it. He's his own worst enemy right now and maybe he's in his head.

To end on a positive note, did you see that Tari Eason defense on Jackson? First got the block, then next possession poked it away 3 times and almost got a 2nd block when Jackson forced one up and got lucky. This man is special!

I mean... Jalen literally was benched last game...

Didn't exactly light a fire under him to improve this game... instead he was benched again.

I have no qualms whatsoever with Sengun responding positively.

While you see it as complaining, it just means you need more help if one of Jalen or Bari is not a sure fire star or superstar....or both of them.

It just antes up the stakes and you need to acquire better pieces to make the leap.

I anticipated this scenario of a bunch of borderline All Stars but no real Superstar, now Alpe can probably be a little better than a borderline All Star.....we go from there.

Sengün had to carry the Front court for 20 games so there will be games when he does not have the juice, this is actually normal for a human being.

As long as he can keep those bad games to a minimum.

And if he keeps playing like this, he'll keep getting benched.

That'll be good for him, AND good for the team--if he's not doing what he's supposed to, then Jalen can take a seat. If he's playing well and CONSISTENTLY, then he'll earn his minutes and hopefully be the contributor that we want him to become.

Another reason I'm not worried about Jalen sitting is that for all the warts in his game, he seems to be a good teammate and locker-room guy. He's not going to cause any problems off the court. I just wish we could see some sustained growth in his offensive game on the court.

100% sure Joke Landfill does not want to play basketball for this team, for the NBA or for anyone...he got his money and is ready to retire to whatever backhole he came from.
