Rockets looking for a winning record. Grizzlies looking for a win. Advantage - Rockets.

Those directions crack me up! I work downtown and the mess you get once you're in downtown is far scarier than any freeway! haha--and yeah definitely STAY AWAY from Main street if you're from out of town......we don't want to see you on the news .... :) I'll be there tonight!!!!!

That's 99 points from those 4 starters alone! And you haven't told us what Ward will shoot from in front of the 3 point line yet.

Yao Ming never plays up to par v.s. Memphis because the matchup problem. He will get
14/10 even without foul trouble. I expect another huge game from TMac.

Ralph Sampson was 7'4", and he was blazin. But you are right, he probably can't do anything about it. After reading many posts, I agree with a lot of people in the BBS. Rocks should think about letting Yao play about 10-15 feet from the basket. He has a hell of a jump shot. That would be harder for defenders to block than his lay-ups or weak dunks. It would also mess up defenses because their center would be playing far from the basket. Finally, there would be more room for T-mac to drive to the basket because Yao will not be cloggin up the middle. This may not work, but I'd like to see them try it.

Why do you always post in a Rockets forum if you're not a rockets fan? Unless you are a rockets fan also?

I think that he will get 24-10 tonight and never gets into foul trouble.

C'mon man, MemphisX is a good guy. Sure he like to take some shots at us because he has pride in his team, and we take shots at him too. Plus, he even contributes to clutchfans despite being an opponent of our team, gotta respect that.

Anyways, anyone know when the doors open to the toyota center? i wanna make sure to get a t-mac bobblehead.

That's all good. I was just wondering why he would contribute to us if he's not even a fan. Just curious.

It's going to be a defensive struggle, with the Grizzlies finally put a 4 qtrs pressure on the Rockets, and win their first game of the season.

Yao will struggle, as TMac, but the other players will do well.

ummm... this doesn't quite fit. T-Mac will rarely if ever score that much while playing for our team and he certainly won't do it while playing against Posey. I think you're attributing too much to T-Mac and not enough to the rest of our team. Though T-Mac and Yao are our leaders, we try to get support from other players like Jim Jackson, Mo Taylor, Charlie Ward, Dikembe Mutombo, Juwan Howard. And If Yao can stay out of foul trouble, he'll get 20+ points.

Gasol always makes it a personal challenge to outplay Yao... I just don't think Pau likes Yao for whatever reason. I don't know if I prefer Yao to be the better team player or to take it to Pau selfishly

The Girzz are going to have a different gameplan. Stopping Mcgrady will be their #1 objective. Yao will have more opportunites because of this. Look for Yao to start off strong, and as their defensive focus shifts back to him, look for Mcgrady to finish 'em off.
