See? We CAN get a Top 5 pick. We're on pace for one right now. And if the Pelicans get their sh-t together, we could be looking at a Top 4 pick.

I'm not buying it just yet. Harden and Howard I don't think would on board wth that. Same probably goes for Terry and Ariza too. There's guys wants rings they don't want anything to do with a tank job

That's not what OP meant. He meant people were expecting great things from that Texans team and they fell on their face

You look at it, we got shots, the shots we want, we want those 3s. They're not going. We gotta trust and take those shots. The way we play, all those things will play out as we continue to do them. We have to do it with confidence and conviction.

    Dwight?

They're a physical team. They have a reputation for being physical. Gasol is a very good player. What they do to Dwight, they send multiple bodies all the time, never one on one. They're bringing help, bringing traps. I gotta do a beter job getting him the ball where they can't double team him. That's my responsibility.

Still trying to settle rotation? 9 played.

Right now our goal is to simplify. We want to make sure we got guys in comfortable positions. With Pat back, that gave us another body in the mix. We'll play Pat. We're trying to find guys that compliment one another and help us win.

    Ty?

Tonight, he got called in with a bad group. They went on a run, we needed to bring back our first group. Had nothing to do with Ty. We need to get Ty to be Ty Lawson. He's a hell of a player, can do all the things we need him to do. We gotta get him confidence and set him loose. He has to do things to help himself. He was brought in to be the secondary playmaker. We need that.

    Calvin:

It's not strange. He's still a very good PG. For you to do your job, they got to let you do your job. His job is to be the PG with the ball. Without it, he's a 2 guard and that's not what he does. Your team has to be in transition if you're without the ball. That's the problem with Ty Lawson. He's playing out of position and he's not comfortable. He's not a come off the pick shooter.

It's fixable if Ty works on something else. James will have the ball. The coach said we need Ty to be Ty. Look at the film and see why he's not being Ty.

Why not? It worked for the Spurs in 1997. We probably won't get lucky enough to land Simmons, but adding a Top 5 pick and a quality head coach along with whatever Morey(or whoever our GM winds up being) gets for the inevitable firesale could result in a pretty quick rebuild.

Yeah, I really was hoping they weren't, but I knew better. I think you're right, I just hope next year is better and they get a coach that can do something (you know real plays).

I see. I'd still argue this Rockets team is worse though. They sucked on opening night and have pretty much sucked ever since. At least that Texans team gave us 2 good weeks before stinking up the joint the rest of the way.

I watched the third quarter and Terrence Jones destroyed 4-5 possessions. He's gets the ball and never gives it back. He's not a guard, there's no reason for your PF to have the ball in his hands for 15 secs of the shot clock. The team has to talk to him. His three has been going in but he now he can't do anything that made him pretty good a few yrs back.

Imagine how Dwight must feel. The Team doesn't give him many post touches but Terrence (the "garbage" man himself) is now getting the bulk of those post touches. This man has miss more point blank layups than anyone I've seen. The floater he throws up in the paint when he's too p***y for body contact has to go. He is not as good as Josh Smith was for us. Letting him go was a mistake obviously.

The Warriors may not lose as many games this entire season as we've already lost. This hurts.

Dwight needs to embrace the double team and find the open man. But the team needs to recognize he's getting doubled and work off it.

This doesn't get talked about enough. The Rockets have about HALF OF THEIR ROTATION having CAREER WORST YEARS.

    Is that...possible?

You know what your boy JB said in the post-game: "Our goal is to simplify"

LOL, this franchise is in big trouble. Common sense isn't very common around here.

This team is now build around hero ball and who in the hell wants to hard for a hero ball team. Dhoward and others have checked out. I don't blame them. What top starters would be happy only taking only 2 shots each quarter most games? Guys are going to lost focus and rhythm if they feel they are not included in the game plan.

I thought we signed Terry back to be the 3rd PG off the bench in a limited role. I just can't believe Jason Terry(who's older than the coach) is starting for this team again.
