yao've been playing kinda soft lately, but it seems that somehow he did it intentionally.

If Howard/Padgett continue to struggle like they did tonight, Van Gundy will eventually play Novak more. He gave Novak a sniff in the second quarter when those two were really playing like crap. The results were mixed (again, piss-poor defense, but he did deliver 1-2 from three).

As for Spanoulis, he'll get minutes again in the next game. JVG is going to have a shorter leash with him than other players who are more experienced.

good game tonight but why can't rafer always play like he did coming out of the 3rd quarter? he really brought a lot of energy out there in that short burst and showed a little swagger. maybe jvg told him something to get him fired up, so whatever it was jvg, use it again.
although the rockets did win by 9, they shoulda won by more, and that way we could have actually seen some of jl3. I really want to see what he can do.

Did no one else catch Clyde's comment on Damon Stoudamire when he said he had an "outstanding year" for the Grizz last year? DS only played 27 games for them last year before he got injured. I actually had to replay it 4 times on Tivo just to make sure he wasn't talking about someone else...

DS only averaged 8.3 points (second lowest of his career) before he got injured! Does Clyde just make this stuff up?

Just a note... probably the reason no one replied to your first post (let alone your second one) is that Brad Miller doesn't even play for the Grizzlies, he plays for Sacramento. Mike Miller (the youngest one in curls) plays for the Grizzlies. :p

We only scored 85... but in watching the game... most of the shots were good, we just missed them. Seems like the chemistry is good, I think we're making strides.

charge call > steal > block

charge call = possession + opponent foul + possible points saved
steal = possession + slight possibility of fast break + possible points saved
block = possibility of possession + possible points saved

even if a charge call = a steal, 3 steals per night is a pretty impressive stat.
    just something to think about.
