There is no way we lose this game. We should be 10-4 heading into Phoenix on Wednesday. Even with a collapse at some point in the game, the Grizz don't have enough talent to close us out.

Difference being Bobby Sura loves the game, Bonzi loves the money.

I hope NBA teams are taking note here of Bonzi's lack of dedication and professionalism when he becomes a free agent. I think Bonzi will come around eventually because his next contract is coming up but teams need to take note of his lapses before signing him to any sort of big $ contract. And if I were a GM, I would avoid him like the plague.

    yo-
i'm kinda sorta worried about the grizz.

i just watched the highlight clip from their last game against the Wiz ( http://broadband.nba.com/cc/playa.p...wmedia/nba/nbacom/recaps/recap_177_wasmem.asx ), and Atkins, Miller, Stoudamire, and some new guy named Lawrence Roberts were all playing really well. if Stro does a decent job against Yao, if Stoudamire/Atkins eat alive Rafer/Head/VSpan, and if Mike Miller brings his 'A' game, this will be a toughie.

we're gonna need Yao, Head, Mac, Chucky, Shane, and VSpan all to step up.

Grizzlies rookie could miss most of season
    Posted: Friday Nov 24, 2006 10:40 PM

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -Memphis Grizzlies rookie point guard Kyle Lowry could miss most of the season after fracturing his left wrist on Tuesday night in a loss at Cleveland.

Lowry's left wrist was placed in a cast after he was injured in the second quarter. The official release states he will "be out indefinitely.'' But Grizzlies coach Mike Fratello said before Friday night's game against the Washington Wizards that Lowry's absence will be extensive.

"It takes him out of the next 71 games,'' Fratello said before easing his comments. "I couldn't tell you when exactly he will be ready to come back, whether it will be with part of the season left to go. I know it's going to be an extended period of time.''

The rookie from Villanova was a boost off the Memphis bench with the energy he provided.

After not playing in the Grizzlies' fourth game of the season at Houston, Lowry's minutes steadily increased to a season-high 30 against Orlando on Monday. He had 16 points, his first double-figure game, with five steals and six assists. Several of his five rebounds came down the stretch as the Grizzlies overtook the Magic for only their second victory of the season.

"It's just a shame because I think everyone could see him coming and coming and taking steps each game at playing more comfortable with the NBA and figuring out what he can do and can't do and making himself more of a presence out there,'' Fratello said.

Fratello said the team has talked about a possible replacement for the void left by Lowry's injury, but said there are several factors, such as economics and an open roster spot, to consider.

When it comes to the Rockets, overconfidence is a very bad thing. This is the kind of game the Rockets routinely lose, at least, the Rockets of the last few seasons. Yes, they should win it, but that doesn't mean they will. Until they "bring it" every night, no need to be trying on championship rings. TMan and Ming are yet to show they have that kind of "Bob Sura" mentality. Ming is certainly improved in this respect, but both still "coast" a bit too much. There are no vacations on they way to an NBA championship, just relentless determination.

I agree...this has been a problem in the past. But thankfully (and I noticed this a while back) we have not seen this problem yet this season (getting surprised by bad teams). We have beaten every team we're "supposed to" beat, and we generally come into games well prepared. Looks like JVG has done a good job in improving the team in that regard compared to previous years.

Lets show D. Stoudamire his mistake of going to the gizzlies..........he supposedly wanted badly to come to Houston during agent deals in summer of 2005 and McGrady was trying to court him too. As he saw the injury rampage of the roxs 05-06 season he was probably thinking thank God I came to Memphis. WELL, now the roxs are rollin' and the Gizzlies should just give it up and go bowlin'.....lets show D. Stoudamire which team/city is the place to play for. [IMG]

This should be an easy win for the rockets. They don't have Pau Gasol in their lineup, Yao should dominate in the paint. Final score, Rox 92 - 83 Grizz.
