39-37. What happened to our offense. The Grizz sure make the game ugly. The Rockets should open it up in the second half I hope.

 

This was already known the night the trade happened.

 

Anyone see Tmac point out Novak as he was coming up the court? Nice to see Tmac make a special effort to get his man on the board and make him feel like he belongs on the court.

One game doesn't mean Battier is worse than Gay. But I have to admit that Gay is not Gay at all today...That is a good gay right there

 

yeah its been an ugly game, a war of attrition. lets hope Rockets can rise above that the next half and use what they have that Memphis doesn't - two superstars with extraordinary talents.

 

They will. It's all gonna happen in the 3rd quarter. JVG is pissed, T-Mac is pissed, and thus everyone is gonna be PEEEIIIISSSEEDDD coming out in the 3rd quarter. The starters will build a comfortable lead and the reserves will follow suit.

Did you check Gay's number for the season? I would choose battier any day.

 

I don't know, they've looked lethargic pretty much the entire game.

The Rockets need a good third quarter to energize the crowd and get them into the game a little bit. The players just feed off the energy from the crowd. All it will take is a couple of nice plays in a row to spark the crowd into a frenzy.

We will see, we've played really bad in the first half, and we're still right there.

On a side note, I could not have been more disappointed with Shane Battier in these first 13 games of the season...he has been contributing next to nothing offensively, not to mention inconsistent with his rebounding.

It's not that he chooses to 'sacrifice' his offense for the team, he doesn't have many skills offensively to begin with, so he's forced to try and do other things on the court...even at that he hasn't been as advertised.

Way to "play down" to the competition; warm up those "Rocket's Sucks" threads cause the "big red machine" is stinking up the TC. Apparently they are thinking about the after game meal, because they are obviously not thinking about the game. If they continue to play this way, it is going to be just plain embarassing.

what's with all these "freak out" posts in here? bunch of ladies.

we played a bad quarter collectively. no one person made our team suck out there. we'll bring it back together in the 2nd half. the post about us getting our 4th quarter out of the way early is right on.

 

when is battier going to start helping this team? do the 2 or 3 offensive fouls he draws every game make up for the defensive fouls he picks up because he didnt get the call, or the turnovers he gets everytime he tries to do something besides shoot an open 3, or the surprisingly poor defense for someone who is supposed to be a defensive stopper? maybe a couple rebounds a game would help. he barely outrebounds rafer alston. the way this scrub has been playing, id think twice about trading stromile swift for him straight up, much less stromile + rudy gay. file this under "horrible roster moves 2006-2007"...good grief

 

You said relax, every team has an off night. Even Spurs is beaten by Bobcats. By the way you said it, you expect everyone, fans and players alike, to relax even Rockets is playing poorly and beaten by Memphis.

By the time people finish relaxing, Dallas is ahead of us today in standing. And soon, we are out of the picture. Do you still not understand?

 

Considering gay is a ROOKIE, he's numbers are not gonna be great off the bat. but on tonights performance, nobody in there right mind would choose battier. people said we made it because we are in a win " now" mode. well, it seems gay can produce straight away. the audacity of some people.
