They should give free tickets to military people or varsity teams or schools to get people to watch.

Neither do I care about a fake sport like egg ball filled with aggression and despicable behavior from their players but very limited skill nor do I care about an over-rated team like the Texans.

So personally, I will be all in on the Rockets.

Remember when, and still today, everyone would dog on people for watching the NBA 'cause it was a bunch of thugs? "NBA?! The N..B...A!?" Bunch of thugs. No one cares about basketball! This is Texas baby, it's football season!"

All since Malice at the Palace and since young bloods starting tatting up.

So NBA you got tattoos, but NFL you got tattoos too, and Adrian Peterson, and Redskins vs how Clippers were handled, and Ray Rice, and Aaron Rodriguez.

Plus basketball is coming online in a big way worldwide, since all you need is a ball, some space and a hoop. Meanwhile football can only pull from a U.S. talent pool, and there has been a mass exodus of parents wanting their kids to play football. And with obesity and brain damage, why would parents want their kids to be the next gen's fresh meat?

Basketball, baby! The greatest and most beautiful sport IN THE WORRRRRLLLLD! :p

    (go Texans!)

The main people in this thread bashing the Texans probably claim they are fans when the team is good.

Anyway, I'll be at the Texans game. Hopefully I hear good reports on K-Pap and the young guys when I get home. Only thing I care about in the preseason.

Game thread is NOT where you discuss your distaste for the Texans or football in general.

Keep it about the Rockets vs Grizzlies or don't post in this thread.

So based on who got little to no burn last game, I expect to see minutes tonight for:
#1 Francisco Garcia. He looked really good during FIBA, so whatever injury it was that had him in a funk last season is hopefully gone now.
#2 Robert Covington. Seems like this kid has been on the Rockets/Vipers for forever. I don't see how he has a chance with what I've seen from Garcia this summer and with Pap on board.
#3 Canaan. Only 9 minutes yesterday so I'd expect to see more of him than Ish.
#4 Troy Daniels. Only 9 minutes yesterday and many are hoping to see this kid break out, myself included.

Also, looks like Memphis just lost Beasley:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Michael Beasley is leaving Memphis Grizzlies camp, signing a deal in China, agent Jared Karnes tells Yahoo Sports.</p>&mdash; Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/status/520278484032434178">October 9, 2014</a></blockquote>
    <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I'd also like to see a huge bounce-back game from Dwight and see how he handles these big, physical Grizzlies balanced with how whistle-happy these refs are this preseason.
