The core guys looked terrible without their leader, the coach on the floor, the one who gets the offense in gear.

Can i ask some questions to you Rockets Fan?

So when the rockets are winning, you're on the praise wagon, but when the Rockets lose, you criticize their play and strategy?
    Isn't this preseason?
We haven't even gone through the first week of the regular season yet and already the negative feedback?
Don't Nba teams play a total of 81 games?
Don't they play the same opposing team tomorrow again anyways??

I was kinda thinking the same thing. I missed the game and I came on this thread to see how the game went, and all I got were negative comments. Personally, I'm really really optomistic about this season. Who cares if Yao had a night off? He'll be back again.

I also agree that there are some bandwagoners. I've always watched the Rockets no matter what, trying to support them. I watched when during the Hakeem era, the Cato era...lol, and the Yao era. We need to support our city's team! :D

He was definitely playing with lineups, but we would have won the game easily if the starters hadn't have sucked so much to start the game. It hurts me to say it but Rafer is the #3 most important player on this team. He makes the starting lineup work. I don't think it matters whether Chuck or Scola start (I would personally like Scola's offense off the bench), but Rafer is the key to keeping the ball moving with our stars in the game.

There is nothing wrong with a little experiment here and there. RA just trying to shuffle the line up a little to see what works and what doesn't.

Rafer would've made Yao not look like an uncoordinated clown out there.

Rafer was not going to help Yao hit his jumpers, catch the ball or get better position. Rafer is NOT God.

That somebody other than Rafer for an upgrade at the PG position for the team appears to not be either SF3 or MJ. Instead, it would have to be somebody else with just as good as a basketball IQ as Rafer, but in addition, a better perimeter shooter and finisher than Rafer.

Eventually, Aaron Brooks might be able to be that upgrade at PG for the team, but not right now.

Early on in this thread, I remember telling you after what I thought was a bold prediction you made about the Rockets blowing out the Lakers on opening night that only if Kobe got traded away to some team other than the Rockets.

I regret not saying "Or if he throws up a ton of bricks" in addition to him being traded. Maybe if he should throw up a ton of bricks next Tuesday, then perhaps your prediction about opening night will be true. :D
