it's foolish to complain when we're not really getting much competition from opponents thus far but i hope we plan to see more of yao in the post when the games count. we have a lot of talent but i'm not sure how these games will play out if we can continue to go away from our best option. we also don't know what adelman is looking for right now, so maybe he already feels comfortable with post plays for yao.

scola isn't getting a lot of post touches either. maybe alston being out is hurting the offense more then expected.

so gay has a few dunks in a preseason game and he's better than durant? i don't know, i'm pretty sure memphis would do that deal in a second.

again, it's not the missed shots.

if it's the ankle, maybe the soreness is causing him to not do so well in terms of getting position and moving around the court.

    then not serious.

Damn I love this. He's like another T-Mac, old T-Mac from Orlando but with great additions around him.

He's shootin' the ball well, he makin' everythin' well.

Durant is a much better shooter. He is a little taller and longer, but Gay is more athletic. Gay could turn out better-- especially on defense. Durant seems lost on defense, the one game I watched him.

I am a huge Durant fan, so I hope he can find a position to play. I guess the idea is he will play small forward once his body matures a bit more.

The Rockets might have lost their chance for a championship by not taking Gay.
    Of course, hindsight is 20/20.

Exactly, in Kenny Thomas's words "**** Houston". As long as Yao gets 20/10 it's better then the Rockets winning.

yao should never put the ball on the floor did you see him get ripped by gay? Yao needs to look at tapes of chris webber at the kings. He needs to catch the ball at the high post give it to the cutters when the cut or turn around ahd shoot. That was what webber basically did and he avg. a ton of points

Yao regressed in Utah series long before Adelman's hiring.

and, Yao just does not have midrange game though JVG and Adelman hope him can develop one.

If we had had JVG we should have said it's a brilliant offensive game

but again, it depends on the team. memphis needs a star so gay fits them better.

he's not gonna fit on this team. gay knows his potential. hes not gonna be happy taking 8-10 shots on this team. believe that.

it's all about fit and chemistry.

My only concern to YAO: YAO needs dunk the ball, no layup.. man this is his 6th year now.

durant has no first step and no explosion in his moves with gay it seems like he is gonna explode to the basket for a dunk whenever he is in the lane. Plus I think gay can handle the rock better than durant

The Rockets couldn't make it past the first round 2 years ago with McGrady owning everything against Dallas. Now with him not as good as he was then, how do you expect the Rockets to win in the playoffs with Yao regressing like this?

That's why he wouldn't be that good in Houston. He needs to go to Sonics :D

If a 7-6 guy keep on shooting 19 ft, he should be cold. I am worried about Yao whether he is a good fit to the new coach.

We called it "great defensive game" and now we call it "not the best (pretty bad) offensive game"
