Exactly. On offense it's not even close. gay has moves in he's repatoire that battier can only dream of. and on defense gay is'nt all that shabby either. there is no saving grace with this trade. it has bad move written all over it.

true, this team needs a battier, not gay.

but gay will be BY FAR the better player than battier. it's not worth comparing.

but this team has its superstars. we don't need gay.

It looks the Rockets tried a starting lineup without RA, and this is the result.

MR GLUUUUUE v The GAY BOY
Rather than be stickey I would venture to say that I told you so to go with the Gay Boy! I blame all this on JVG , we will just have to get over it and move on!

With Yao stinking it up, 3-3 from long range is why we are ahead. But I agree he took a lot of shots.

One thing to remember about MJ: When he joined the Rockets mid-season in 2005, he took a bunch of shots in his first few games also. Made most of them too. Defenses eventually adjusted by guarding him tighter and he took less shots.

I repeat: I'm worried about Yao. Something isn't right.

In a recent article by Wang Meng, he did mentioned that in the Dallas game, Big Yao twisted his ankle. And he twisted it again in the previous game with the Supersonics.

But since he started this game, I don't think that is the REAL issue relating to his missing his shots tonight.

It is a JVG trade. no surprise, Battier is a perfect JVG player, mediocre.

I've been against the Adelman hire even before he was hired.

Right now it seems like my fears are justified. For some reason Yao's post game has seemingly regressed, and given Yao's continuous hard work I wouldn't place blame on him unless there were a good reason.

he was struggling at the post tonight like he did from time to time under jvg! what do you want him to do? keep fighting for position like jvg asked him to do? it didn't work! bottom line yao needs to play better. either hit the midrange shots or establish better low post position.

You wouldn't even be able to compare Gay to Battier in a few years

exactly. i'm not worried about the missed shots by yao. when R2K gets the games up, watch how yao moves. watch how he fights for position in the post. he looks very bad right now.

again, mike james makes shots. that's all that matters in this offense. a PG is not needed in this offense. but when he started the game, he was wildin'

That makes sense why yao is looking unusually slow out there.
