Everybody should relax with the over analysis of the preseason. These games don't count.

Deron Williams tonight was 2 for 8 FGA, 2 Rebounds, 6 assists, 6 TOs, -12, in 30 minutes. Nets lost by 30.

Nobody is calling Deron Williams over rated or not worthy of his max contract.

Who goes around editing "lowlight" videos of a player, including old footage from highschool? LOL, the haters are the biggest stalkers.

    As a sophomore in HS

I know what you are trying to do here, which is cool with me. But note that game was in his sophomore year in high school and his first year playing PG.

Lin entered Palo Altos High School in 2002/3 and he was a midget, at 5 foot 3 inches. He grew a whole 12 inches during high school. In his senior year, he was captain of the team and led his high school team to win the California Division 2 Championship in 2006. He also won the California State Player of the Year that year, but became the only player who won that award yet did not receive a college scholarship from any major bball powerhouse colleges in the history of that award. UCLA and Stanford told him to walk on, and that's how he ended going to Harvard with his 4.2 GPA.

He meant it lightly, no intention of insulting Lin whatsoever...:p

    Lin's GPA is 3.2, not 4.2.

Lin graduated Harvard with a 3.1 GPA but his high school GPA was 4.2.

Geez, do we need to argue over something so trivia as a player's high school GPA? Do we even know any other players' high school GPAs?

Haha, wasn't hating on Lin, but he definitely played PG in Highschool.
And is a natural PG, he's just an attacking style PG.
He's always been able to throw the football passes, even back then.

I guess I was pretty vague in my comment, but I wasn't actually talking about you or anyone on CF, but just the whole phenomenon of "lowlight" videos on YouTube, of which I've already seen two for Lin in like the last 2 days. Almost anyone can look bad if someone is stalkery enough to spend time editing to just show the creme de la crap. It's just weird to me, like who are these ppl who both obsess and dislike a guy enough to spend time doing that!?

While Lin threw many 'football passes' last year, I think he was always looking at the recipient. But in that football pass to Patterson at around 6:10 in the video, he was actually looking away at Martin. Also, in that pass to Patterson at the corner 3, Lin was looking at Delfino. It's nice to see him working on not telegraphing his passes.

In the fourth quarter, as seen towards the end of the video, Lin is out of breath. He is still not conditioned to play big minutes.

Actually, he always looks that way. Look at his previous games last season... in the 4th quarter he always **looks** like he's exhausted, then he explodes all over the other team.

Just a wierd thing about him... the only way you really know if Lin is tired is if he's slow on his steps or his shots are falling short.

Apparently, Jeremy always looks tired according to his teammate in college.

Thanks for the article.Respect for him for doing so.I lived in a predominately Muslim country so I always thought athletes got a pass for fasting or if they are devouted enough, fasted on a period where they might not be attending international games .I guess faith does bring strength to Hakeem .

Would like to catch some of his games in nbatv some time later :)

I cant remember whether Muslims can skip fasting other than you are sick,or you have to replace your fasting to another period if you are unable to do so during Ramadan .

I dont think Omer tries to converts his teammates ,just basing on we never heard anything like that from the Bulls, and he seems to be a quiet guy.

Back to Omer I dont think he fasted during the 2011-2012 season since Ramadan occurs during offseason.Muslim calendars are much shorter than norm calendars so if it happens during 2012-2013 season I wonder what omer would say about it.

btw torocan, nice to see you here.hope you posts more good, unbiased posts here :)

    3.2 is Harvard GPA

Nope, wrong again. His high school GPA was 4.2 otherwise he would not have gotten into Harvard. Remember Harvard does not give out basketball scholarship.

He graduated from Harvard with a degree in Economics and a GPA of 3.2.

I believe I read that he scored perfect on his SAT Math. His total score was 2140 out of perfect 2400. He was probably taking advanced placement math courses in high school.
