The Phillies, huh? And anyway, did Lin make all 9 of those in a single half? That was the distinction about Parsons' 10 makes. Plenty of people have made 10+ 3s in a game. The record was about making that many in a single half.

There are several reasons already given by posters before. Mine is very simple: It's their job to play up players of their team, and they got paid to do that.

If they chose not to mention Lin's franchise-tying record of 9 threes in a game, there must be a good reason for doing that. Otherwise they are not qualified to do their job.

There have already been too many coincidences regarding how Lin has been mistreated by the coaches and the announcers that it's become an obvious pattern now.

Everything's connected in this universe and nothing happens without a reason.

Probably just bad stats. Feigen's post about last night's game did not contain Lin on the list either.

LOL no what? You just posted a list of 16 guys who have made 10 or more 3s in a single game. All I'm saying is that Parsons' was significant b/c all of his came in a single half. Am I missing something?

    Indeed.

That is one component that will more in likely result in a loss in a close game. The other components are missed free throws ( we are I think dead last) , horrific defensive intensity and turnovers, I think we lead the league in that department

If we got Lebron, who will be playing PG?..... Emm..... Is it Lebron for 30 minutes and Harden for another 30 minutes?....

Rather than start another new thread about Lin, I'll throw this in here.

Preface: I like Jeremy and think he's a valuable part of this team. I'm happy when he does well.

Over the past month or so, every time Lin drives to the hoop and does NOT score, he ends up grimacing and clutching a body part. Either on the floor or standing up. He does this with such regularity that it's really starting to look like he's offering this up as an excuse. "Sorry I didn't get the bucket, but I was fouled! Look! I'm even holding my {forehead/nose/chin/shoulder/arm/leg/ankle}."

Dude, just man up and play ball. This is the NBA -- everyone gets whacked several times a game. And yeah, you probably get some extra because a few of those guys don't like being shown up by an Asian kid. Sorry, but that's your cross to bear (see: Robinson, Jackie). You'd be better served by NEVER letting them know you're feeling anything. You're being a puss and people are starting to notice. MAN UP AND PLAY.

Greg Smith dislocated a finger a few weeks ago and calmly walked to the bench and had Keith Jones pop it back into place, after which he immediately rejoined the freakin' game. Lin should've taken notes that night.

So right after saying something to my girlfriend about this while watching the game last night, Bill Worrell says something to the same effect. So I know I'm not the only one who sees this.

Pretty simple - 2 franchise records were broken last night - 3's in a game AND 3's in a half. Jeremy was tied for the lead for 3's made in a GAME in the history of THE FRANCHISE. CP beat that FRANCHISE record by 1 last night. He also broke the NBA record of 3's made in a half. I can't remember the list they showed last night, but it could have been the 3's made in a half list, in which case Jeremy Lin would not show up. If it was for the franchise record for 3's in a game, yes he should have been at the top of the list. Whew, ok, done.

Correction - I should have said 2 franchise records and one NBA record were broken last night.

Bill's point has always been that Lin has not learned to fall. His drives relies solely on his elite-level acceleration. After that, he is in the air and has little control over his body. He has to develop other ways of attacking the paint.

BTW, it is well-known that you get different treatment in terms of how people foul you depending on your status as a player....

If Harden can sell his foul call, why can't Lin?
