thought this game was over. Came back from 13 down.. with alligator arms going off.

 

Initially I had this line of thought but the replay was pretty clear imo. I'm biased of course but I think the defender is catching that foul 99% of the time. Sengun did, essentially the same thing on Morant and he actually kept his arms up. Edey wasn't set AND his arms came down across Jalen's face. It's a foul, an easy one.

I still don't know what Tony B called right before the half.

 

Jalen did better but I just hope it can be consistent. Being the high draft pick he is and the money that the Rocket's have paid him and is currently paying him, this need to be an every-game thing, not once in a while.

Rockets are paying 33M, or Derrick White money. Its not cheap but not a max contract either.

 

Great win. As Rockets fans, we should know by now games are NOT won in the 3rd quarter. We've seen that for better and worse quite a bit.

Jalen was insane and had a career game. 42 points on 18 FGAs is video game stuff. He was dynamic at the rim and outside the arc.

Amen was simply all over the place. Bonkers stat line of 19/13/4/2/5 and the Grizz felt all of it. When Ja went to the rim down 1 with ~30 seconds left, I guess he forgot Amen was the defender. TO!

After struggling, I was concerned when Alpi came in for Steven Adams to close the game. But he hit a basket and found Amen on the baseline.

Cam chipped in 16, including 4-7 from long range and looked happy after the game. 3-point shooting is the key to his career.

Rockets won when both DB and FVV coughed and wheezed on offense. That doesn't happen often.

Steven Adams contribution isn't fully reflected in the box score.

Aaron Holiday with a sharp 6 points in 9 mins. This is what he's good for and not much more. Glad he's on our team.

Jae'Sean Tate has run out of juice. He needs to sit for a while but they have no choice but to play him.

Lack of depth is beginning to bite. The margin for error is very slim. Missing both Bari and Tari at the same time and winning a game like this (esp in clutch fashion) is indicative of how good this team can be at full strength.

 

Amen is awesome, Cam is still out of control at times, but made some shots.

 

I'm just proud and satisfied!!!! No Jabari or Tari or a developed Reed and we are still owning good teams!

 

A quiet 19, 13 and 4? With clutch dunks, defense and free throws? Lol...

 

Feel like Rockets should win by more when Green scores 42.

 

Of course not 40 points a game, but the scoring when needed in the clutch. That's what he's paid for.

 

This post is so funny but so true. We want to love Jalen but we have been down this path a million times. It’s been happening a whole lot more than not.

Man, when Jalen got that and one after Ja hit a 3 and got in his face and said. "N***a IM HERE TOO!"

that meant something to me. That All Star/Mamba mentality.

that "N***a who you talkin too?" mentality is an awesome trait.

I take that mentality with me when i go grocery shopping when I need to fight for oranges at HEB.

i watched the replay on 1/2 speed, so it look like he was set to me , but i agree with you that it was similar to senguns play. Imo both should be no calls. Edey looked pretty square and was off his feet by the time he met jalen.
