There is a trend to loosing to Memphis TWICE,Atlanta and the Jazz this season...height,weight and length in the paint when 3's are not falling not a whole lot to lean back on aka a PLAN B...but at least the Rox mngmt/Morey and friends see this just as much as any fan right now. Rox are real real close to taking it to next level

Maybe. Maybe not. Either way we struggle mightily against them.

And Harden needs to pick up the pace of his game. It's so frustrating to watch him play so slow, he rarely has any transition points these days. One of MDA's main philosophy is to play aggressive before the defense is set, but Harden is doing exactly the opposite.

And this right here is why I wanted us to keep DMo a 7 footer with great post skills so when the 3s weren't there, at least you could switch it up some....but that ship has sailed.

This team is good, but CAN be great - we need another big at least, are there any maybe overseas or in China that we could add late?

But we won't win **** with the current roster if the goal is a championship.

Memphis clearly is one of those tough matchup problems, and hopefully we don't face them or Utah in the 1st round. Either way, these losses are a good reminder for Morey that this is still not remotely a complete team, and going after superstars is still the best route to a championship. He probably wonders every day how close he is to being able to get someone like DeMarcus Cousins.

Kind of embarrassing that Tony Allen would outscore Beverley by 16 points in any game. We really need more production out of the starting "SG".

We've been unlucky facing these teams completely healthy that usually aren't. Spurs and Grizzlies were completely healthy in their recent wins over us.

Again? This is the first time we've lost 2 games in a row.

I mean we're without our best big man. This team is better defensively with Capela and he had amazing chemistry with Harden. He was 2nd on the team in PER before Harrell just passed him barely.

The question at this point is are the Rockets banking in Capela coming back and fixing rim protection and rebounding ?

I'd say we'll likely play one between Utah and Memphis since it's likely we finish in 3rd or 4th place, i think OKC will end up at 7.

It seems the Rockets only lose to good teams at home when they shoot absolutely awful from three. This game and the Spurs game were very close losses that would've been convincing wins if they just shot their average from deep.

The Bev-Ariza-Anderson trio has shot 3-11 and 4-18 during wins this season.

The rebounding discrepency tonight (45-31) was as big as anything.

Until they get a real center this will always be the outcome

What a damn shame that Troy Daniels isn't on this team. We pretty much created him from the DLeague factory. He should be bombing from 3 on our team.

It's one of th reasons I'm fine with our offense. We have to shoot really poorly to have a bad showing. Over the course of a 7 game series we are gonna shoot 35% more often than not.

The size is the real issue, and everybody (including Morey) know this. We continue to get punished on the glass. Capela will help, but a 3rd big body is probably needed because Nene really isn't playing very well. If this issue isn't addressed our playoff stay will be pretty short.

Until then, I think we will be fine just shooting mediocre and bad teams out of the gym.

Very true the team needs another big but will Morey address the need or believes that Capela alone is the answer? I hope he does not a get another big by the trading deadline.

    Ship Nene off
The thing about DMo was he was solid fundamentally. He moved very well as a cog and you could play through him. In this system with the additional players and D'Antoni's system DMo could play the 5 as a defensive cog and just set set picks and then head back into the paint. He would have bothered Gasol and Randolph. Dude also has very low turnover and was a great passer into our outside the paint. There would be schemes of Dmo/Capela, Dmo/Nene, Dmo/Harrell, Dmo/Anderson, or even Dmo/Dekker. He didn't even have to score to be effective, it just somehow slowed the game down enough to play a good half court set. Oh well..
