The next 12 games will not be easy that's for sure.

 

But this loss was more on the supporting cast. They all got wide open looks and bricked every one of them.

 

Low-light of the game was when Brewer tried to dunk and air-balled.

 

We won't win games shooting this poorly so yes it is the main reason...

 

My first game attended this year and the Rockets decide to play their worst basketball yet. Game was just ugly all around, worst officiating I've seen, worst ball handling, shooting, you name it and it was ugly.

I think I will stick to the forums for game time from now on...

 

This is a part of cause to loss, but the we didn't change offense and defense style when opp team had changed

 

I agree that it wasn't just Harden but he's the head of the beast no? He needs to take responsibility. Honestly I am sick of watching Ariza, he kills us so much. Brick after brick, can't dribble, can't finish. 'We're down by 3 with 5 mins left? Let me pull up from thirty and brick another shot.'

Count me as one of the few who will not be unhappy to see him go if we get something good in return, he's glorified trash on offense.

As for the bolded part - what? Harden sucked ass in the 2nd half, did he even have a field goal outside of that dunk in the last thirty seconds? He didn't do a great job of running the offense and his lack of urgency when Memphis made a charge in the third killed us, just continued to jog up the court.

 

The defense wasn't bad tbh,they made some key stops in the 4th to get the ball, but when you shoot .000000002% from the field in the 2nd half, that's the ball game.

 

Right. . but don't blame the refs . . . .

True that is why Morey should concentrate on getting another big that can Defend and rebound. Oh yeah no 6'9" big.

 

Go cut your balls off, then cut your head off and stuff your balls down your neck, then put your head back on and continue your miserable life.

So when does Capella come back? We keeping get throttled by teams with elite bigs.

 

Exactly. If anything, loosing to the Grizz twice,Atlanta and the Jazz this year this is a TREND and not a fluke when it comes to needing a BIG in the lineup for when games slow down and get dirty the Rox can box out, grab some rebounds and tap the ball back in the hoop...they do some of that now but it's by committee and looks awfully difficult at times like tonight to pull off which they didn't

 

It's alright to miss shots, we're going to have a ton of games where we brick a ton of 3s but the problem is the rebounding. They out-rebounded us 45 to 31.

 

and got called for an offensive foul after getting wacked in the face

Let me try. Grumble, grumble, grumble.

We'll make some of these shots in the future. I wish there was a way to find out if Ryno is going to shoot this awful at the beginning of the game, though. It would save us a lot of open bricks.

This Memphis team isn't half bad.

It's a long season. Gordo's not 100% and Capela's out. I'll be the first to crucify this team if we play like this and fall back asswards into the playoffs. But it's not the end of the world yet - just stings a little because of the last loss.

That being said, we're out 1st, 2nd round at the most if we don't get a legit rim protector/rebounder. I hope everyone knows this. It gets said a lot on these boards but that's because it's true.

Can Capela become the guy? Maybe, Maybe no. Insurance would be nice though.
