Definitely not an easy win. The Rockets obviously still have the mentality that the Clippers are an easy team to defeat and didn't come out playing them seriously. Horrid offense, at least their defense is keeping them close.

This game is good. Hopefully, more teams will play the Rockets like this to make the Rockets management understand that a one man gang in Yao is not enough to win most of the games. Dunleavy is just like any other coach out there. He recognizes that Cato is an offensive liability, so he is sticking Elton Brand immediately when Cato is out there with Yao.

I just can't figure this Rox team out.

Is this the same team that beat TWolves and Mavs?

This is a perfect game for Piatkowski... get him in.

    Yao was just TRIPLED TEAM.

That's the strategy. We need to make outside shots to beat that strategy.

Dunleavy is smart. I'm very surprised other coaches in the NBA just don't swarm Yao too. I'd risk Steve, JJ, and the other Rocket shooters making the jumper. I've seen enough Rocket basketball to know the Rockets have streaky perimeter shooting.

man francis is everywhere tonight. picking up loose balls, feeding people even though they are all missing, diving for that last rebound, hitting shots. who would've thought steve's shooting would be keeping us in it while mobley and everyone else struggles. all of our forwards are now killing us.

mobley has no feel for the game whatsoever. why jack up a 3 in transition when we finally seem to have some rythmn in the half court set??? And yes, the refs suck big time again.

Or they need to be able to hit wide open shots... which they are getting.

Your suggestion would work if the Clippers were rotating well (ie, playing good defense), but they're not. They're just camping out in the lane, daring the Rockets to make their outside shots.

Mobely's "buttocks" must still be hurting, cause his shot is WAY off... JJ has missed some wide open looks... and Griffin (why is he in instead of pike?) has missed 2.

They're finally starting to give Yao the whistle, I guess even the most myopic referee can't overlook some of these...

Aw, Yao missed the FT! 32 in a row.

I'm surprised other teams just don't do this all the time. I'd camp a bunch of big bodies in the paint all the time against the Rockets. I wouldn't stray from this defensive strategy unless the Rocket shooters shoot 3-4 in a row.

What's with the weak entry pass? Another TO.

I think it will take a while for our guards to learn the art of entry pass.
