16+46+24+10=96. How come we only have 94 pts?

I'm not sure if it's been poseted, but I think Quentin Richardson might be questional for this game. (Back problems).
Anyways I hope the Rockets win. And I predict Yao Ming will miss a free throw. :p

Brand and Maggette do cause us match up problems. Although Brand is more of a low post scorer than other good 4's in the NBA so that helps us slightly considering our low post defense is good.

Kaman has shown he can't guard Yao, but you never know. He may try the hack-a-Yao strategy and if the refs don't call it, it can really affect him.

I think Brand will be killed this game by Cato and Yao.. when your primarily a low post scorer and your short (6 foot 9) you will have trouble against us. Last game Cato and Yao gave him fits and he even admitted it after the game.

We have to watch out for Magette this kid has talent and gets to the line far too often against us.

im hoping Yao continues his streak of good games and SF3 starts to make his run soon too..

Yao and Stevie French Fries both have a monster game..

Yao 40pts/20rebs/12blks (first triple double of his career)
    SF3 34pts/11rebs/15assists

    Go team!

This is the kind of game that the 2002-03 Rockets regularly lost. That was the most maddening thing about last year. They could beat teams like the Kings or Lakers, but would lose to Cleveland, Atlanta and the Clippers.
That doesn't seem to be as much of a problem this season -- not nearly as many bad losses.
    Rockets 92
    Clippers 77

Hack a Shaq strategy is to grab Shaq without the ball to send him to the line on purpose on every Lakers' possessions. THe theory being they're score more points than Shaq making the FT's. If they try that on Yao, he'll make 100 straight Ft's, not only setting a record but Rockets win.

This is a "credibility" game. The impact of the recent outstanding performances will be largely lost if the Rockets get beat by the Clippers. All the "ghosts of the past" will return. All the doubts, all the frustrations. As odd as it may be, this is a key game of the season. We now have opportunity to build playoff intensity, a loss would let alot of air out of the balloon. We all know that; we are about to find out if the team knows that.

while ZRB does whinning all the time, he does it fun and we enjoy it.

but as far as this WNBA is concerned, I only find it annoying.

    all nagging, never any sustance.

I guess the Miami and Seattle games are still haunting you. Did you predicted those Houston losses as well????

    hey hey come on guys..

ZRB and WNBA are the board pessimists.. we all know they are actually die hard Rox fans and they predict losses for luck. When they start predicting wins ill be worried because we might lose our edge.

WNBA ! ZRB ! We SALUTE YOU!

there used to be one more pessimist on this board but I cant remember who that person is?!? that always predicted losses for us but you could tell they were always die hard fans.

Go Yao! Go Rox! Go Super Duper Backup Bench Brigade!

The hack-a-Yao strategy is to pull Potapenko's and Najera's and pull, punch, trip, and scratch Yao to get him out of his game. Sometimes the refs call it, most of the time they don't. Kaman's not really a dirty player though so I think it's unlikely.

I am hoping that SF3 30 points on 11-11 and 6-6 super hot shooting night, and Yao 35 on 14-21 7-7 and continue his recent hot streak.

    And Rockets 109:64.

Any one noticed that we have been hot from the field recently in scoring 93, 112, and 101 in recent 3 games?

Not gonna happen, remember the Wizards games. I agree with you on the blow out, but SF3 and YM will sit in the 4th.

Yao needs to be big. But we tend to regress back to our old selves against lesser caliber teams. Clippers is a perfect case in point. We need to not only assert ourselves early in the game, but also finish strong. Remember, keep our composure and keep on feeding the ball to the BIG MAN. Good things will come! I predict a win.

No they don't need to do that. All they need to do is to front Yao. Usually that'd be enough to make our guards look other ways or turn the ball over. Until they figure out how to counter fronting this team still cannot utilize their strength CONSISTENTLY.
