Not just an excuse. You don't tear up all-in bets and fold after one game. It is a work in progress in this case. Not saying it will necessarily work, but you have stick with your bets with a little more time. Instead of sobbing on how wrong the bets were, why not look at it more positively to see if there is room for improvement. I think there are plenty.

So I guess you missed the point about the Rockets being a historically bad three point shooting team? We know that if the Rockets make their 3s they will be hard to beat. The problem is they are not a good three point shooting team and they are very inconsistent. And that’s what happens when most of your role players are minimum contract players.

Minimum contract players give you minimum value and inconsistency. At some point the Rockets will have to spend money. You can’t be the team that shoots the most threes but don’t have any good, pure shooters. You have to pay the price at some point or you will have these widely inconsistent games where they live and die by the three.

If the threes fall, they can potentially go all the way. If not, don’t be surprised if the Rockets don’t make it out of the 1st round.

Rockets are not historically bad shooting team, they had a historically bad 3 point shooting night.

There is a very big difference between the two.

But Rockets are not the most efficient 3 point shooting team in NBA, they are about average to little above average.

The solution is to add better 3 point shooters who are not liabilities in switch everything defense.

That is why Rockets are working out Luc.

Rockets should also work out Ryan Broekhoff (40% 3ball), Tyler Johnson (35%), Jonah Bolden (35%), Justin Anderson (38% 3ball in GLeague).

Bolden and Anderson are also longer and play above the rim. Rockets need more energy, length and verticality on current roster.

Don't bring Eric back until he's ready, they just need to stop.

Westbrook being off...... means we need to be prepared for a battle in Charlotte. We're notorious for not taking teams seriously, and we also do not run small ball well without WB.... so if Harden isn't on, and no WB or Ego.... we could be in for a nightmare of a week since this team has no plan B.

Doc had the 2nd most All Stars (and deepest bench) to challenge GSW during their reign and pooped his pants every single season.

Doc did jack with All Star trio of CP3-Griffin-DJ so you expect him to unlock Harden more than MDA did/has?

    Ridiculous.

no it's just pointless going back & forth w/ a clueless/foolish "weer still numbur wun!!" blowhard. i've already laid out my criticism of d'antoni in a most civil fashion, and instead of saying 'okay that's fine we disagree' you want to power drill your opinion into anyone w/ ideas other than your own. so let's make this clear now, you are nobody to me. as far as the 'smack' you allude to, if it continues to bother you greatly, i give zero ****.

If the Rockets cannot win at least 2 out of the next 3, then they have no business talking about championships in a very long time or talking Finals for that matter.

Even if they win the next 3, it is going to be tough down the road.

Your criticism consists of firing him with absolutely ZERO CLUE who to replace him with.

    Zero clue and zero ****.

    At least you are consistent.

And nice diversion trying to create another narrative, no one is saying "weer number one" only saying 1 game is not indicative of how good or how bad team really is. You have learned national media tactics for BS quite well.

    Cut the unplayable players first.

Tyler Johnson for Chris Chris Clemons.

    Justin Anderson for Isaiah Hartenstein.

    Jonah Bolden for Tyson Chandler.

    Ryan Broekhoff for Thabo Sefolosha.

One of the lost issues with the entire mid-season shift, is that the entire defense has changed (including rotations, responsibilities, etc.) without a pre-season to install it and with D'Antoni historically diminishing the importance of in season practices.

On top of that, no matter how much players prepare with strength/conditioning before a season, it would be hard pressed for any to have prepared to have to bang with PF/C while still having the legs to knock down 3 pointers for 48 minutes. I mean that is basically what you do against jump shooting teams in the playoffs. Force them to defend physically so they don't have legs to make shots in the 4th quarter.

Basically, pointing out that this experiment and judging it's effectiveness will be limited unless it persists into next season (2020-21). And who is the say that any of the coaching staff or front office is the same for next season to do that?

i said he would not be extended, not that he should be fired b/c i or anyone else here wants him to be fired. he will be told goodbye because tilfuk himself has set the bar at a competitive showing in the WCF. getting there from the 4th (or 5th) seed while battling silver's zebras all along the way is an unlikelihood. so then tilfuk will also be the one tasked w/ approving his replacement. not me or you or bima or JR or clutch.

Buy these guys out then? Morey doesn't try hard enough for JJ Reddick and guys like that in the off-season or thinks some unproven can somehow learn to shoot it under the greatest basketball pressure in the world....

    Buy who out?

All 4 guys are available right now to be signed.

And I'm not advocating signing all of them, just 2 of the 4 would improve Rockets 3ball shooting/overall scoring and/or defense depending on which 2 are acquired.

There's limited roster space.. You think Sefosha and company will take less money to leave? Fertita is too cheap to waive these guys..

don't worry, your hero d'antoni will quickly get picked up by one of many eager nba franchises for another head coaching position

    ok, zero chance of that
