I'd still make the trade lol...I guess I just should've said man, Harrell is playing a lot better against us than he did with us.

Because D'Antoni prefers to play Joe Johnson and doesn't wanna go with a 10-man rotation(at least not in a close game).

Never mind space the floor, just knock down a dang 3. PJ, Paul and Luc were below freezing last night. Ariza not much better.

100% spot on. No one knows CP3 better than Doc. And he wanted to tire out CP by going 94 feet of defense. Same with Harden. We have seen this in the past. And Haralabos Voulgaris on twitter has mentioned this many times why aren't teams doing more of this.

Rockets are going to see this again. Good that they got a taste of this NOW to prep for it.

As an undersized energy big with no range, he didn't fit on our team.

No he doesn't as JJ plays 100% of the time as a stretch 4 and Gerald Green cannot ever be a stretch 4 given his size.

On this team Trez is a 5. He would back up Clint unless/until he develops his 3 ball. He's got a decent jump shot now.

He was undersized as a 4 and you want him to play the 5? At least with Ryno or Tucker at the 5, we still have range to combat the lack of height. Trez would have offered us nothing at that position.

Type of game we would have lost in previous years, terrible on both ends. They had a layup drill and that bad defense will kill us in the playoffs. We played enough D for stretches though.

Want has NOTHING to do with my post, just explaining his role when he was on team or if he returned. As for length (more important than height at 5 spot), we are talking about a team who had fan favorite Chuck Hayes playing center at 6'5.

At least Harrell makes up for his 6'7/6'8 height with his enormous 7'5 wing span.

Height matters just as much as length when you are playing at the 5 IMO.

Chuck Hayes was a fan favorite that played center on a very mediocre Rockets team that didn't even make the playoffs when he was our starter. Hayes was way better than Trez and on our team, he would be lucky if he was backing up Nene over Black, much less Capela.

On THIS Rockets team, Chuck Hayes is not a good back up 5 option and certainly not better than Harrell. Hayes lacks the vertically and explosiveness required to be the roller at 5 spot.

Trez has already proven he can back up Clint against certain lineups in MDA system.

Johnson may be a 4, but he isn't a stretch.

In 10 games with the Rockets, 23 minutes per, he has 5.5 points on 37.7 / 28.0 shooting.
In 28 games with the Rockets, 21 minutes per, Green has 11.3 points on 39.0 / 37.1 shooting.

    Johnson ORTG 99, DRTG 111, Box Plus-Minus -4.7.
    Green ORTG 108, DRTG 108, Box Plus-Minus -2.7.

Not at all. There is a reason why we barely played him in the playoffs. Hayes on the other hand, can still offer great D on this team. Both of them still suck in our system though. Just my opinion ofc.
