JVG is right about the lack of peer pressure and the team not demanding more.

They could be greater if they played with more passion for longer periods of time.

man if i didn't watch the game how would i know that nash went one on one several times with dirk.did you watch it?if yes didn't you see nash go one on one several times with dirk and missing those shots?i really like nash game but i think he got carried away with his duel against dirk.and i was just saying this because guys don't give amare enough credit nor his other teammates and walton was all over nash and dirk praising them each time .but amare was a monster in this game.i don't disagree that dirk and nash are the mvp of the season but for this match my mvp is mare .just my opinion

This was Nash's game. Amare hasn't been nearly consistent enough this season to be in the MVP talks. Amare gets spoon fed at least twice (more like 3 times) as much as any premiere big man playing today.

A Win is a Win is a Win!! Our Team played horrible, sometimes disorganized and out of control. I noticed that the game went through Yao Ming but for only limited periods. Glad to see that JVG used Snyder. Mutombo looks like he is ready to retire.

Everytime Chuck Hayes scores, he should shout out loud to the opps, "Who's guarding me? Nobody.".

If you want to see the impact of Nash or Amare on the Suns, look at their record with Amare but without Nash...terrible. They made the WCF without Amare playing the whole season...you make your own conclusions.

the offense seems to me somewhat disjunct. i don't know how long it will take to have the right kind of adjustment between yao and tmac.

in any case, the 5 seed is just as good as a done deal. I'm not going to get upset anymore for how the rockets look for the next month.

I am hoping this season will somehow come out to be something like the 95 season. catch fire at the right time, and really playoffs is when the rox need to look great not now

i wish they'd pan to van gundy's face everytime luther throws a ball 15 feet up in the stands. that's atleast the fifth time this season.

we're making too many dumbass plays when we get up.

rafer turns into playground rafer, high-stepping and trying floaters and riduculous layups.

tracy will go for the homerun when we're up big to expand the lead even more, instead of playing his normal smart game.

we've had a pretty big leads in a fairly large number of games this season and we've let too many of those wittle to nothing or close to it. when we get a lead we change our style and that needs to be taken care of going into the playoffs.

forgot to mention, that mcgrady behind the back pass was just nasty. almost as good as the jon barry full court behind the back a couple years ago.

Even though I attended the game in person, I was distracted by my son, my brother in law and his son. However, as I remember.

Luther made a clutch 3 near the end of the game.

Rafer was Rafer. He did start the game w. two quick threes.

Did not pay particular attention to T Mac till close to the final minutes. He did not go down and shoot 4 or 5 consecutive shots as sometimes he is virtually forced to.

At least we won in the end despite them having all the momentum when they closed in and eventually took their brief lead in the final few minutes..

You think Amare would have gotten his stats here without Nash?

i didn't specifically mean tonight. rafer actually played a good game and t-mac didn't really do any of the cop-out threes he'll take most nights. but in general our lackidasical(sp?) attitude when we're up big is the cause of a lot of these slip-ups. once we're up over 15 it seems like basketball IQ goes out the window.

the good thing is we're getting these leads.

this game would have been so much easier if they had double-teamed brand as soon as he got hot. what jvg did (or didn't do rather) was just stupid.

This team has not really looked completely sharp since just before the All-Star Break and esp. after suffering the blowout against Dallas. I don't know if it's fatigue or what, but the much-touted chemistry of the team seems to be off.
Maybe when Yao gets his conditioning back, which I think will take atleast another 2-3 weeks, we'll start to gell again. Atleast I hope so.

He can't handle the ball because he's not a natural point. He will learn to the play the point with time. Yes, he will be giving up several inches to other shooting guards since he's only 6'3", but he's not the first person to do that.

Some other short shooting/point guards who turned out pretty well:
    Allen Iverson (6'0")
    Gilbert Arenas (6'4")
    Baron Davis (6'3")
    Ben Gordon (6'3")
    Chauncey Billups (6'3")
    Jason Terry (6'2")

Give him a chance. He might never be on their level, but I expect him to have a relatively successful career.

yep he could .who knows, its not like when nash is not playing he put bad numbers or anything amare is a great player.sure nash makes it easier for anyone but give the man some credit.amare with any great player on a pick a roll is deadly.imagine mare with t-mac or with kobe or wade.just deadly don't you think.he is the best guy to make the pick and roll with because he is so athletic and quick and has good hands around the basket.and again just my personal opinion

true he may never be at the level of these guys and surely never will, but head is a great great shooter who can be the team john paxon or bj armstrong or steve kerr,in the 4 th if not t-mac or yao the other person that you want to see take the shot is head but its true he cannot create for himself nor should he try to.just wait and let the superstar attract the defence.i'm telling you this may be the play that win the championship for us
