ClutchFans Game Thread: Clippers @ Rockets 12/30/2016

I wish Harden wouldn't have come back in the game. A triple double isn't that important when we are up with a huge lead. He already had a great game, and the Rockets were going to win. There was no reason for him to run up his stats.

 

And this is bad how?

 

Don't forget he had been on like a 3 day rest and only played 34 minutes.

 

This is the difference between last year. That and a much better cohesive chemistry amongst the team. Last season if the starters were off we would lose this game by 20.This season Gordon, Dekker, Harrell and co are delivering and helping the team in the time of need.

 

I don't get why they get hate for their draft picks. I feel like Morey and his staff have done a really good job considering they're usually choosing middle to late in the 2nd round. With the exception of Joey Dorsey and Royce White, all their picks are starting caliber or playing significant minutes somewhere.

 

The closest thing to Gordon we had last year was Jason Terry or Michael Beasley, but they weren't nearly as good as Gordon has been this year.

What I love about this team is that even with Harden on the bench, the second unit comes in and actually extends leads... When is the last time we had a decent bench! Even the team that went to the WCF two years ago was incredibly dependent on Harden.

 

For anyone that watched the postgame Montrezl interview on the front page of Clutchfans:

 

I like Harden but he's starting to get a little too good.

Hopefully he just sits the next game or two, he doesn't play defense and the offense flows better anyway because he turns it over too much because he's overweight and lazy.

Cash, I know he was being sarcastic and stuff man. But sooner or later we all need to wake up and realize that James Harden is who he is. There were a segment of Lakers fans who hated on Kobe Bryant too, they all thought he shot the ball too much and wasn't enough of a willing passer. Especially after Shaq left the team. Kobe and the Lakers couldn't get out of the first round for awhile there, until Gasol showed up and Bynum developed into a serviceable player.

Players have flaws, even the best of players do. BBholic thinks Harden is too "ball dominant" and the Rockets won't win with this strategy. Well, Kobe was even more "ball dominant"; than Harden is right now. It didn't stop Kobe from winning 5 championships, though.

If the team continues to win..like..what difference does it make, man?

Ha, it's horrible... that I seriously read this first line, and thought it was a certain Harden hater just thinking of something else.

Watching Harden's reaction to Harrell's plays , and the whole teams reaction to his plays for that matter, was a thing of beauty.

Chemistry is real on this team, and it's great to be a fan witnessing it.

this! the best compliment to the bench is the fact that some people around here were afraid Harden will come back and we will lose the lead 2 games in row now because of his tendency to become suddenly lethargic/ turnover prone and team picking up the bad vibe from him
