lol this whole 3rd page aws funny and I agree.

I want Chris Wilcox. LOL no complaining cuz we won. Role players made shots. I would like Simmons too to serve as a backup..and eventually take the role of Barry and Sura and JJ..yeah and good win I guess. Barry is really a nice addition.

got to watch because i live in los angeles....noone commented on Tmac's defense. He was off the hook. He straight up blocked simmon's 3 point shot in the corner and smacked the ball back into maggettes head in the post when he tried to do a turn around fade. Forgot about the other block, but they were amazing. lol at brand trying to back down yao and got swatted; lol again at rebraca trying to do the same thing. Lots of offensive boards by Yao and the team in general which is good. That last one was a statement one where he took the O board and dunked it really really hard back in. Tmac did it all and jon barry my god what a good pickup (lol just one game but eh). Played backup point guard and i think he'll do fine there because he has great passing skills and a reliable jumper. Whoever warned us about him pulling up when we bring the ball up was so right lol and it loooked good because he hit the shot. Mo Taylor had his jumper going; iirc he hit like 3 jumpers in a row; one from a step inside the arc. JJ hit his corner shots and slowed a run the clippers had with 2 consecutive 3s, and howard actually hit his shots. Mutumbo did good for the time he was in; he dunked on wilcox and grabbed some good boards.

I like darkwarriors' detailed report yeah Tmac has some nice blocks I've gotten used to it lol he really can fly. And Barry plays defense with intensity..both Tmac and Barry were out on the perimeter getting low and guarding their players. Sura too. Hmm...I still want a good PF..I'll miss Mo though lol.

Clippers didn't play that well today btw.

It's amazing how much the combination of Bobby Sura and Jon Barry have improved our ball movement. Granted, we were playing against the Clippers, who can make anyone look good :D.

It looked like the better ball movement improved the team's rhythm as a whole, leading to more made jumpers.

Clippers are not that bad. They are better than at least half the teams in the league.

Jon Barry may be the only Rockets besides TMac who can just run the court and then fire up a 3. The ball moves so well with him on the court. Ward should just go to the IL for the rest of the season. Barrett should come back. The Rockets will have Barry, Barrett, and Bobby. The Killer Bs.

Yeah, they were like "No wonder spoon doesnt see any minutes, they've got Taylor and Howard!"
I think we might pull a trade with the clippers MoTay for Wilcox+Kettles. :D

Barry looked fantastic tonight. Like Worrell said he really seems to rub off on the other players. The acquisition is a definite step in the right direction.

So we have the killer bee's supporting the MM attack with J&J knocking down the outside shots(Jackson and Juwan). Then we have and M&M coming off the bench (Mutumbo and MoTay). No too bad

Boy, not to sound pessmistic, I think we got big break when JJ hit two 3pts in a row after the clippers cut it down to 3 point game in the 3rd. Fundamentally, I didnt see a completely changed Rocket. Some old team as the one played in the other 26 games, inconsistent, turn over prone, play good ball when there is confidence, and vice versa. Jury is still out.

Not really. He had only been in town about 10 hours before the game. There is no way that he knows the "system". The only thing Barry knew tonight was to space the floor and go backdoor. It really supports the argument that the Rockets would be better off without the "system" and just playing basketball on the offensive end. I wouldn't be surprised to see Barry start hesitating and staring at the bench when the Rockets have the ball in the next game or two.

    But I am hoping not.

I'm glad you brought this up. JVG will slowly kill his confidence by forcing him into his 'system'. In about a month he will be just another name added to the long list of players in JVG's doghouse.

You are absolutely right. When he shot the trey, I was thinking that only a newcomer dare to to that. We rarely see T-Mac do that except during the miracle 35 seconds, when the system was totally meaningless.

Yes. Turnovers were killing the game before JJ's two treys.

Rox is just one game out of the #8 seed for the playoff.

Yeah if we can finish this month off strong then we should be tied or ahead of the Lakers/Nuggets.

LOL. If Barry starts looking at JVG everytime he misses a shot, that would be deja vu.
