Eventually the lack of depth is going to really sting, and the Rockets' incredible start really hasn't bought them any breathing room at all.

And it might wear out the guys that are having to carry more of the burden too.

Near the end of the Kings game a day ago you could see that they were winded a lot, just nobody to play coming off the bench because of the poor free throws of Black and Dorsey is pitiful.

But they pulled their defense together for the last 3 minutes, it was amazing performance.

Watching Dorsey try and actually make basketball-related moves is comical and infuriating all at the same time.

I am a sucker for a player getting a second chance so I wanted to believe Dorsey had improved over the years. Guess not. Dorsey looks even worse than his first time around here. A championship contender does not have room for the Dorseys of the world.

Dorsey has been a bigger failure the I expected. Does anybody think with a few (6) or so games he will improve any at all?

I think he is just here for the paycheck. Doesn't give a damm if he plays or not.

I put more stock in Black but he is playing out of his class. Needs more D league time.

2 of 12 for free throws. Pull a freaking fan onto the court and have him win a FT contest against Dorsey. It's the least we could do to make use of him since we know he's guaranteed for next year too. Geez

Very tough game. They were a tough match up for us last year, they will be a tough match up for us this year.

Legit center with Deandre Jordan, elite forward in Blake Griffin, and CP3 on the perimeter is rough sledding even with a healthy Rockets roster. With multiple players out, this could get ugly.

There's no way that Dmo holds down Griffin. Unlike DMC, Griffin gets loads of superstar calls. And the Clippers athleticism above the rim will really hurt without Dwight patrolling the paint.

I consider the Rockets to be substantial underdogs in this fight.

Funny thing is that Greg Smith actually had good games against the Clippers and one game held Griffin in check as a starter! Ow how times have changed where I wish we still had Greg 'freaky big hands' Smith..

Not calling up Capela will come back to bite us in the ass, we already gave up before playing the game.

Well, we have to lose eventually, don't we?

I would have loved to see a fully healthy Rockets with this much emphasis on defense against even the Clippers. Damn injuries are disproportionate. We have injuries for 3 teams!

It could be worse, we could be OKC. At least we're still in the race for home court.

OKC could actually be out of the play offs by game 20 or 25 of the regular season.

    A very reasonable take. Unfortunately.

Yeah Blake's been having a tough time and I'm worried he's going to break out of that slump tonight...to the tune of 30 or 40 points.
