ClutchFans Game Thread: Clippers @ Rockets 11/2/2022

Alpi n our bench mob is the only bright spot that drives me to watch these games. Wont expect too much outta of a team under silas's baton.

 

game was entertaining, so I’m glad I went to
TC

but when we were down 23-5, I was questioning my life choices and ready to throw tomatoes at the whole squad

Sengun was the lone bright spot…I gave him an ovation when he fouled out

Green played well scoring-wise, but I want to see him make an impact in other parts of the game…4 boards, just 1 assist, and 3 turnovers

Jabari? Big yikes…a rough start to the season, but it’s gonna take time

KPJ is extremely hard to watch in person…like it’s genuinely painful at times…some of these offensive possessions and the bonehead turnovers…the inefficiency at high volume…all u can do is just sigh

nice hustle from Garuba this game, I appreciated it

Chips made his threes, but I still can’t stand him…if he was playing his usual sh*tty level ball, Idk what I would’ve done

all in all, a fun night with a big Sengun performance…I’m happy they competed

on to the next inevitable L

Any opinion on Silas? Was he active on the bench developing the squad? Do they listen to him?

Man, I love EG. He is the last connection to a great era. Rockets didn't win it all, but were serious contenders year in, year out.

 

Ego demoted himself from a great player to Field Marshall Designate of Tank Commanding.

Retirement ideas, I presume.

I honestly wasn’t analyzing the bench like that, but things seemed fine

 

Rockets need good guard play in the worst way

none of our guards are good creators

Green is just bad at it right now, and KPJ can give u 5 or 6 assists if he has the ball in his hands enough, but it looks so unnatural

only time KPJ looks in his element is when he’s trying to score, and he doesn’t even do that efficiently

games like tonight are so hard to watch

I have to believe that Jabari’s jumper will reach some consistent level eventually, but until then, it’s gonna be ugly…dude isn’t gonna get a lot of easy assisted layups or dunks like an Evan Mobley or a Chet would to counteract the bricks and put points on the board

Silas has to support Jabari Smith.

 

Smith in Silas system is 5th option on the starting squad. Man is lost and just there most of the time and when he's finally gets pass, it's not a very good one.

 

Rockets need to spam Green-Sengun PnR. That thing is like hot knife through butter. Either a floater for Green, a high % shot for Sengun or a kick out to a shooter.

 

Well, they should experiment a ton of things. That is a good starting point.

 

The level of excitement here after a good loss shows how desperate we are, lol.
