All the teams I thought were going to be good this year have been mediocre to awful.

I highly question the idea that having Gordon as a ball handler does any good to the team. I would prefer Nix (which sounds impossible to believe), despite all his bad performance. Gordon brings the ball, shoots a 3 or drives to the basket, waiving hands up. No involvement at all.

Yes this fundamentally shows how flawed Silas is as a head coach. Eric Gordon is probably as good as Jalen Green right now as a primary ball handling playmaker. In fact I would say he has even worse tunnel vision.

Eric Gordon is a good vet for young players to mimic his work ethic and professionalism. The last thing he is a on court floor general who helps young players

I am really down on EG actually. He is a good piece on a contender team, but as a vet, he is far from being an ideal choice, mostly creating for himself and does not look interested in what is going around him.

He's a good locker room guy for the players to see how to properly conduct business but beyond that, ya he needs to go to a contender. I definitely have high regard for his tenure here. He was a large part of our long run with Harden.

Yeah, he has positive things, and he has history here, so all is good. It would have been good to have another vet for the things he is missing on.

Or we could, I don’t know, have an actual point guard...

Agree a little but mostly disagree.
EG may have more "tunnel vision" than Jalen but that's because he usually is in the "finisher" role at the end of a play.
Neither one is optimal as a facilitator but EG most definitely has a better handle than Jalen and can get out of pressure better if the defense blitzes him.

There are many things to fault Silas for but to me this quote's not one of them.

The biggest takeaway to me is that Silas would actually come out on record and say/admit that Jalen's not a good ball handler.
This is by far his biggest deficiency imo and the thing most holding his game back from going to the next level.

    ARE YOU LISTENING Jalen?!!!

one problem with being 1-7 and not having James Harden on the team anymore is that the other members of my household are much more bold in vetoing my Rockets viewing on the main screen in the living room. will have to watch the game on my computer.

    this ain't right this ain't fair.gif
