Have thought about maybe it’s bc he’s playing out of position? When need a connecting piece to make this fit.

    @maj21

Man I hoped we were going to see a different Porter this year, but he's actually worse. And it's all in his head. Honesty they never should have moved him to the point. Should have played him at the 3 or as 6th man scorer. Giving him the keys, in his mind, made him THE man and he's not THAT guy. Unfortunately, in doing so, with his personality, he probably will not take being moved to the bench well. Doubt he would even take being moved to the starting wing position. Either way this ish is going to get uglier before it gets better.

They have to start winning occasionally. You can’t develop your personnel by constantly losing. I get that the schedule has been tough, but there’s too much talent to be this bad. No, there’s not enough of it to be good, but it shouldn’t be a given that they lose almost every time. That’s not okay. Losers lose and that’s not a good mentality to develop in a young team. They need to win some games even if that means fewer minutes for some guys.

He's the de facto PG. His "touches" stat will obviously be inflated since he's going to bring the ball up the court a lot. Look at the "Front Ct Touches" column. That's the touches after crossing half-court. Most PG's and combo guards who bring the ball up the court are going to dominate touches.

Eric Gordon can’t be your veteran leader. He’s just not that guy. They need to move him immediately before it gets worse.

Whilst his touches can be inflated by being the de-facto PG, his average seconds per touch and time of possession still far exceeds most other players in this league. Looking at purely guards, KPJ is 13th in the league in seconds per touch (ignoring players that played fewer than 5 games).

On that Tweet about Gordon's passing. I don't know about per 36, or if the Tweeter has a filter on. But according NBA.com Gordon's passing data (this season) looks alright to me.

    https://www.nba.com/stats/team/1610612745/passes-dash?dir=D&sort=FREQUENCY

This season up to 2022.11.15. He's certainly not dead last. The FG% as a result of Gordon's pass results in among the highest.

Pass from Gordon, FG% is decent
    [IMG]

Pass to Gordon, FG% similar to Jalen. 3FG% is around league average
    [IMG]
He has the highest [Assist to Pass] percentage and the highest [Adjusted Assist to Pass] percentage for Rockets guards.
    1. "Assist to Pass percentage" - "The percentage of passes by a player or team that are assists". (Assists)/(Passes Made)
    2. "Assist to Pass Percentage Adjusted" - The percentage of passes by a player or team that are assists, free throw assists, or secondary assists. (Adjusted Assists)/(Passes Made).

Harden's Assist to Pass is 14.8 (link) and adjusted is a ridiculous 18.2. (as of 11/15/22)

Putting 'timeline' and ageism aside, we still have someone on the squad who's decent and helps the team.

Quite insulting to the other bright spots. Eason garuba and Martin also fun to cheer for in my opinion.

Alperen Sengun has a 5.1 PF rate per 36 minutes in the NBA. What if these two things are related? LET THAT SINK IN!

Just a reminder of how clueless this coach is.

Gordon is a better ball handler than Jalen Green apparently.

It could get better by getting him off the team.

Jalen Green is essentially young Westbrook with a much better jump-shot and much less passion. I’d like to see how the team plays with Green being the primary ball handler running a drive and kick offence with plenty of P&R/P with Segun and Jabari.
