AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- The Detroit Pistons have signed first-round draft pick Greg Monroe.

    Terms were not disclosed Tuesday.

The 6-foot-11-inch Monroe averaged 16.1 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 34 games as a sophomore for Georgetown last season. He was the Big East Rookie of the Year as a freshman.

The Pistons drafted the New Orleans native with the seventh overall selection in the NBA draft.

No, it was definitely a flop by Martin, and Baron Davis tripped on his feet.

The bench needs to step up in the second half so the starters can rest for tomorrow's game in Dallas.

Memphis already lost to Nets, so Rockets should definitely win this one before tough stretch in next couple of weeks

No it is not your imagination, I have noticed that he is not looking to score at all, im not sure why. Hell, even Jordan Hill gets a play here and there called for him. Maybe the Rockets don't want Patterson to "showcase" the potential he displayed when he was actually getting shots.

i would love to see Blake Griffin seek out Luis Scola in the off-season. Scola could really help to develop Blake's game.

I think we would be a little better if Lowry was the anchor of the 2nd team. If AB started KM, Chuck, Batt and Scola would take pressure off of him to run the O. We always give away leads with the second team, bench used to be a strength. AB is looking to score, not set up his teammates which the second team sorely needs. 2nd team starts trying to be a 1 on 1 players which is difficult to watch.

Maybe we should Start AB, not because he is playing better than Lowry, but for the betterment of the team.

Agreed, you can tell they are Clipper announcers but they aren't outright homers.

The only extreme homer call was when they said Chase "horse collared" Griffin, when Bud clearly grabbed Griffin around the torso

Lack of sleep needs to be treated as a major health issue, according to a report published by the Mental Health Foundation.

The Great British Sleep Report suggests a link between insomnia and poor relationships, low energy levels and an inability to concentrate.

Poor sleep has already been linked to depression, immune deficiency and heart disease.

The report calls for GPs to have more training to recognise the symptoms.

The number of adults suffering from insomnia in the UK has previously been estimated at around 30%.

Nearly 6,800 people took part in an online survey,
