I don't know how you can address it? You probably just have to go with the law of average and hope that it will make things right....meaning they should go up in the next several games. Asik was hitting a lot of FTs during those winning streaks....so these past few games brought him back to life.:grin:

 

If anything, this brings some of us rockets fans back to reality.
We got beaten by a contender without their best player.
While the future is bright and Morey has managed the salary cap well, we are still very far off from being a championship team.

 

Yep, unfortunately we are far from it. I will be happy if they can get to the playoffs and have some experience.

 

The real trick is getting into the playoffs....anything can happen on in. Trade deadline is coming up so the dynamics of some teams may change...we'll see what Morey has up his sleves.

 

Ayone see Beverley foot movement on defense. In his few minutes he impressed me to no ends This id needs to play.

The Lakers 12/4/2012... and several other wins in the month of December. The Rockets only winning month so far.

You could also look at the minutes and how they correspond to the team's won/loss record.

November
Lin minutes per game: 34.3
TD minutes per game: 15.8
Team's record: 6-8

December
Lin minutes per game: 31.1
TD minutes per game: 24.8
Team's record: 10-6

January
Lin minutes per game: 37.0
TD minutes per game: 18.7
Team's record: 4-4

Fewer minutes for TD has translated into fewer wins for the Rockets. And more minutes for Lin has translated into more losses.

Lin is a 30 minute player. He loses his legs if he plays much more than that.

Lin shot 37.3% from the field in November when he averaged 34.3 minutes.
Lin shot 48.9% from the field in December when he averaged 31.1 minutes.
Lin shot 38.5% from the field in January when he averaged 37.0 minutes.

See? Lin shot way better when he played fewer minutes.

In December, the Rockets had the backcourt minutes distributed perfectly. In January, McHale knelt before the LOF.

Wow, that Beverley D on Crawford was awesome.

 

The Rockets should hire a shooting coach for the whole team. Eg the knicks, spurs and other teams with shooting coaches have improved their 3pt% and FT shooting.

 

Yo Cyclo, what's the deal? Where does this intense hate of Lin come from? You're not just simply trolling, as evidenced by this post, did he sleep with your girlfriend or something?

I came her as a Lin fan, but I have tried to stay out of the LOH/LOF thing cause really, it's just dumb. And I can understand why some people are crazy about Lin, but where does this H A T E come from man?

Honestly, I am just curious. Not trying to troll at all.

 

nice comment...dont be fooled by a loosing streak its only a perfectly normal for any team let alone for the most inexperienced...its a great team we have there....the most important thing now is to work on problematic segments of our game and to play best when playoffs come

 

That.... that is the most comprehensive stat comparison ever...
There are way too many factors that are overlooked I don't know where to begin.

 

Rockets lack some serious toughness, we would get embarrassed in the playoffs if we play this soft. We need a Mario Elie type of the bench, who will shut some1 down or commit some hard fouls. We need an Otis Thorpe who would not have let Griffin do what he did without fouling hard at least once. We need a Maxwell type guy who would've shown Crawford what's up.

We also need a coach who for once will take responsibility for a loss. McHale acts like it wasn't his job to keep them sharp coming into the 2nd half. And maybe an owner who doesn't believe that running is the way to a championship. Defense brought you those back-to-back titles, not offense. This style stinks and you can hardly run without playing defense so guess we're in a pickle.

 

Wow. I just saw the highlights. I thought beverley was gonna get his ankle broken by crawford but he managed to steal it. whoaa

 

I didn't watch the game but from the highlights it looked like an alright game except in the third quarter.

 

Unless you're Yao Ming, Bill is the biggest YOF I've ever seen.... He rode on his jock hard...
