Look at the box score and many critical numbers are very similar... but the preeminent is the Celtics took 18 more shots (mostly due to 10 more boards and 5 less t/o).

With Landry we would have hung much longer, but it will be very tough for us against teams w/ 2 bigs... or KG. :)

I still am impressed with how hard our guys battle

I'm surprised Adelman didn't put Brooks in there.. with his quickness he could've been a zone breaker penetrating to the basket

Tough game. The Rockets just didn't try their hardest in the second half. Was real disappointing.

I became a rox fan in 95 when clyde landed here. i did not post a lot like some trolls around. the quote was from cbs blog when i was watching the pbp there. i found some scoff in it. so i quoted it and was angry with the ppl who think we are better off yao. that is all i did. where did you get " I told you so" from words?

    Agree with you, DD.
The sad truth is Rox had been doing what they were doing today for the last few games. The reason we still won was the outside shots were falling, and the opponents' defense weren't that good.

We all knew watching the last few games that once the outside shots stopped falling against a strong team, we would have trouble winning.

That said, Boston has Tom Thibudeau (sp?), who knows Rox inside out. We would not have lost this bad against other teams, even if they are as strong as Boston.

This game shows why we need that big fella. Rox just got bullied inside. Anyway thanks for the amazing streak. If we won 22 straight, 15 straight is piece of cake :D

The lesson we learned here is, we need size to beat the team like Boston, we are OK for many other teams, but we really need YAO back for some other team like Boston and Utah.

To criticize Tracy is unfair in my opinion...when T-mac gets 7+ rebounds it means hes busting his ass, hes not the greatest rebounder...historically, when T-mac gives up its extremely evident through his demeanor on the court, and off it (he was cheering, clapping, and pumping his fist while on the bench). The pre-streak T-mac would walk lazily up and down the court when he didn't feel like playing, he dove out of bounds for the ball when we were down 15+ in the third..if you've ever played competitive bball you know that the psychology behind winning that many games actually does create mental fatigue and pressure to keep performing at peak levels...he was being doubles and tripled the INSTANT he even smelled the ball...Boston could afford to triple him because no one else was even hitting the iron and he still managed 8 assists. Thinking objectively, without regarding the streak, it was a single regular season loss to the best team in basketball, the Rockets remain 1st in the West (albeit tied) and have a chance to further that lead tomorrow. It was a hell of a streak..

or maybe some guy by the name of landry. he would have dunked 4 of hayes' layups tonight and we get an 8-10 pt lead going into half-time.

people need to stop with yao, he IS NOT COMING BACK. we'll talk about him next yr. we missed him tonight, but we will miss him EVERY night b/c you can't replace 22 pts. we all know that. stop beating a dead horse.

get landry back and we'll be fine.

It was just too stagnate out there on offense...the team lost it's poise in the 2nd half.

We were tied at half time (Thanks to a BS banked 3 pointer by Pierce) and then the wheels fell off.

The team struggled on offense and defense giving up 54 second half points to a team that should have been tired.

Man, what a way to go......

Hopefully it doesn't turn into another kind of streak......of the bad variety.

The starters were bad yet the came out instead of just leaving out the second unit. M. Harris should have seen more time. A. Brooks should have seen more time.

Charles said the streak is the 2nd best thing he's seen since the Bull's 72 wins.

but i guess it's boring if Chuck says nice things about us.

Damned proud to be a Rocket fan! What a great run - second longest winning streak in NBA history. Let's start another one Wednesday night!

It was just one game - BFD to have lost to the best team in the NBA this year. Powe was the Rocket killer. Maybe we'll get another shot at those East Coast jerks in the championship round. No class on behal f of Garnett and company tonight, IMO. The NO game and those that follow are far more important than losing to the Celtics. Here's hoping Landry will be back for tomorrows' game.
